Very advanced decomposition can be recognized here by the separation of the lumbar vertebrae and the pelvic ring.
The Atlantic was born today and I’ll tell you how…
The clouds above opened up and let it out.
I was standing on the surface of a perforated sphere
When the water filled every hole.
And thousands upon thousands made an ocean,
Making islands where no island should go.
Oh no.
Those people were overjoyed; they took to their boats.
I thought it less like a lake and more like a moat.
The rhythm of my footsteps crossing flatlands to your door have been silenced forever more.
The distance is quite simply much too far for me to row
It seems farther than ever before
Oh no.
I need you so much closer [x8]
I need you so much closer [x4]
So come on, come on [x4]

This week's them is Hyperlocal... ie trying to get the foreground and background in focus by (using the simple explanation) focusing about 1/3 into the photo. Here I attempted to focus between these two sets of broken piers separated within the water as the sun rose (I like to thrown in the fun of not being able to see, but by this photo at least the sun was coming up!). This was a gorgeous morning morning on this stunning secluded beach where several abandoned piers are found that have worn away over time. This pier in particular has only these posts left. It was lovely sunrise and I got to practice with my new 10 stopper!
Danbo still misses the season.

I don't know why I have been obsessed will Fall recently, maybe because I keep seeing more and more leaves fall? Anyway, I would of had a New Year's picture I... forgot. I'll take one though.
System of cracks at Thingvellir in Iceland. Iceland lies on the mid-Atlantic ridge, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates separate. In this area is a system of cracks that together form a separation zone, as the plates gradually pull apart. This pool fills one of the larger cracks.
Peckett & Sons OX1 0-6-0ST works no 1859 of 1932 'Sir Gomer' at Mountain Ash on 27-3-73.
The locomotive was named Sir Gomer after Sir James Gomer Berry (1883-1968) who was newspaper proprietor and industrial magnate who was born in born in Merthyr Tydfil.
It spent its entire working life of nearly 50 years at Mountan Ash although its ownership changed. In 1936 ownership passed to Powell Duffryn Associated Collieries and the the National Coal Board (NCB) following nationalisation in January 1947.
It was permitted to work on BR metals in the exchange sidings. I remember being quite excited to see it in the old up platform road of Mountain Ash station shunting some wagons.
Sir Gomer was finally retired in 1981
Tujetsch, located in the Surselva region of Switzerland, has two major ski slopes, which attract many people to the Vorderrhein valley in winter. These two ski slopes, which are only a few kilometers apart, are connected by the Andermatt - Disentis/Mustér railway line of the MGB (Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn). The company meets the increased travel demand in winter with an extra train service: the shuttle train called Sportzug runs up and down the barely 2.5 kilometer section of the line between Dieni and Sedrun almost every half hour, this year still hauled by the company's Deh 4/4 number 23. The no. 23 is the last remaining piece of the four Deh 4/4s acquired by the ex. BVZ company and the last of the type that still has the old, circular headlights. Its companions (which previously served in the FO company) are still in daily service with LED lighting and minor modifications, but this is reportedly the last season for number 23 carrying passenger trains. The Sportzug will run every day until April 6, departing from Disentis/Mustér station in the morning, running up and down between Dieni and Sedrun and arriving back to Disentis late in the afternoon.
Just only 3 days after my visit, the train composition got changed to an other Deh 4/4 controll car set.

A svájci Surselva régióban fekvő Tujetsch két jelentősebb sípályával is rendelkezik, melyek telente rengeteg embert vonzanak a Vorderrhein völgyébe.
