This barn is in Smoot, Star Valley, Wyoming. They didn't have as much snow as we did here in the Bear Lake Valley, but it was enough to cause some serious damage.

I like these birds because they are bold and I can get a little closer to them with my "not so good" telephoto lens.

Another beautifully coloured rose still in bloom in the Palmerston North Victoria Esplanade Dugald McKenzie Rose Gardens - quite a lengthy name!

Some nice detail when zoomed in too.

The very beautiful pearl bordered fritilliary. Another butterfly that is again sadly rare in the UK, but thanks to dedicated conservationists there are small local colonies that are surviving against the odds.

Yet another shot of the classic Kingfisher. ( not been out much lately.)

Another 1 of the many images I took at Mono Lake of what was simply a stunning sunset with the lenticular cloud forming in just the right spot and the last rays of the sun catching the clouds beautifully.

Another fountain on our garden walk

Bodnant Garden is a National Trust property near Tal-y-Cafn, Conwy, Wales, overlooking the Conwy Valley towards the Carneddau mountains. Founded in 1874 and developed by five generations of one family, it was given to the National Trust in 1949.

5 mile hike on Monday provided some nice photo opportunities.

Lucky for me the neighbors have not done their weed and feed yet this year so they have a few light catchers for me to work with. Had to capture a few quick images this morning and call it good for the day. Hoping you find beauty in the wildflowers where you are today.

The birds discard a sunflower seed, and months later the insects love the beautiful source of food. I'm doing my bit for conservation.

Many dives are unsuccessful and many of my shots either too late, too early or out of focus!

But that's the challenge when trying to get a good shot of a diving Kingfisher!

Taken in Lavant, West Sussex

I've posted this train in about 8 different locations between the time I first shot it as the sun came up at Rudyard and the last time I shot it here at Soo Yard. Train OTIAC at Sault Ste. Marie on February 20, 2001 with 711, 2004 and 6628 leading the ore. I think I have one more unposted view near Dafter I'll get to in a couple Thursdays:).

WC SOGBA tackles the hill west of Trout Lake with 3006, 1750, 6654 and 3007 leading 57 cars. With all that hp this job is rolling at a good clip as they head for Gladstone on a windy September 19, 1998.

Can you believe there is another world located below the surface of the water, one that is full of life. There is an abundance of life, Dolphins, Manatees, Sting Rays, and crabs to just name a few. While this young man is simply looking for one fish.

Buenos Aires, another view a little bit different to previously uploaded photo. But I like it too.

Bald Eagle

Haliaeetus leucocephalus

Taken at Klamath Basin National Wildlife Refuge in Klamath Falls, OR, USA. This is another take on a couple others I posted.

Thank you for your views, faves and comments. Deeply appreciated.

Looking at this flower from the stem to the ruffles of the petals gives me a sense of a bug's eye view.

Here's another grouse that I saw on the North Twentymile Peak trail (Okanogan County, WA).

I saw 13 grouse on this 12-mile hike. I saw this one withing the first few miles and my feet didn't hurt yet and my legs were still 100% operational.

I chose Metallic Stone for the Pick Two MM challenge.

Tried lighting the stone at an angle, to make all the craters and lines show up more dramatically. It's like another world in there. :-) Hope you like. HMM!

A little overboard with the soft brush, I'll try to control myself next time.
