Today the 25th of April is Anzac Day, Lest We Forget.
Here in the north, we now have a season where both spring and summer alternate. It's been summer for the last few days, so warm, so beautiful. The colors of nature are gentle and soft. And when I look at the surface of the lake, another world opens up.

Lichen on a tree stump, gloomy foggy weather today but it did mean that the lichen took on another form almost!

My garden is full of clematis at the moment - here's another one! Have a great weekend everybody - I'm having a blast as I retired yesterday. Yippee! :)
A Northern Gannet shown from another angle. These birds have a very expressive appearance - this for example is what they show each other when they want to impress - before they attack or dance, depends who is watching: another male or a beautiful gannet lady.

I was walking around at market day in Fredericksburg and saw this sitting outside one of the building as I was walking in..;) Lets call it "Cowboy Humor"..;)
CN 5716 leads westbound train 406 through another snow bank as they head by Nauwigewauk, New Brunswick, the day after the first major snow storm of the year.
January 8,2017.
Another image of the Great Sand Dune National Park, taken soon after I crossed the Surge Flow.
Due to the detour (road closure) that delayed us by 3 hours, the sun was about to go below the dunes when we got there.
No epic golden colors here, just light and plenty of shadows; nevertheless, I'm happy with the few images that I got, and they are far better than the ones I took from the first visit in Sep 2019 - the early afternoon sun was flat and boring! 😉
The northeast region is having a heatwave, it's hot and humid ; oh "joy" of a hotter planet!
