I took this photo some time ago at Monrepos and the gosling is a young Greylag goose. They were on the same meadow at the lake where the Eqyptian geese with their goslings were. Usally Greylag geese and Egyptian geese don't like each other but during the time when they have goslings you often see them close together. Maybe they think that the goslings are safer in a larger group.
I add another capture of this gosling in the comments as I couldn't really decide which one I liked better. :)
Oystercatcher amongst a sea of Knot. Taken at the Snettisham Spectacular from the new hide on the far side of the lagoon - it has wonderful facilities for photographers to get low down (i.e. lying down) for an eye level shot. Twitchers can then sit on a bank of raised seating behind and still see what is going on, brilliant idea!
A shot taken late this afternoon at Camber Sands as the sun was beginning to dip and provided a really unique light.
The sun was strong, the wind was heavy, making for a wicked combination of light, shadow and sand blasting.
This image made me feel like I'd landed on the moon.

This Whimbrel walks amongst the rocks at Anchor Point, Alaska as it searches for the next meal. The tide is out as I can see barnacles exposed on the rocks.

CSXT AC4400CW's #100 & #1 lead train Q541 across Allatoona Dam Road on the high fill between Cartersville and Emerson, GA. This scene has changed drastically with new construction.
I love the scent of the firs, the cool crisp air and feeling the freedom you feel outside the city. Fresh air - silence - birds
NS local D36 from Bloomington is seen here just north of Bement with NS 4624, a rare GP59 on the point. A mile or so south, this train will swing off the Bloomington to the Lafayette District for it's final leg of the trip to Decatur.

A couple of shots of birds I don't see very often. Both from a trip to Lorne on this day in 2018.

I've spent a little time trying to photograph Reed Warblers on my local patch in the last couple of weeks. They proved to be a real challenge whilst they were singing deep amongst the reeds as they rarely ventured into clear sight.
Just as spring brings life to flowers and the moon moves tides on the shores, nothing is simply chance. Everything happens for a reason. Everything is a routine.

I sat still for a while and got several perspectives of this little guy as he searched through the rocks and debris piled up against the surf.
A lesson of contrasts today -- the Killdeer and the Snowy Egret, making their homes in different environments.
