I frequently tramped eight or ten miles through the deepest snow to keep an appointment with a beech-tree, or a yellow birch, or an old acquaintance among the pines.

I came across these tiny white flowers at a Michigan State Park near my home on Saturday. Processed for Sliders Sunday.

HSS!

Thanks to Laura, Mary Radike Smith, leapinlilly and Sharon (& Wayne) for identifying these blossoms as Spring Beauties (Claytonia virginica), also known as fairy spuds

This is Madge, who is mum to Banksy, Bubba and Boo. She currently lives with her daughter, Bubba and is my largest Lesser Tenrec at just over 200g. Over torpor, she lost weight, about 50g but she is still agile and likes to climb, such as this Broom here. Some of you will remember Madge from when she was photographed opening a miniature teapot. Her image was a big hit!

The grand canal walk beautiful in all seasons but I love it this time of year with all the trees in full greenery...

The area of the garden which is left to its own devices is currently awash with daisies and lots of little blue flowers, one of which you see in the photo.

The most common Parakeet found in our state amongst the 4 species. They are found pretty much everywhere - in the cities, jungles, countryside and sometimes even near temples and tall buildings adjacent to trees.

The place we visited had several fruiting trees and when the monkeys had their fill of the fruits, the birds come up to grab whatever is left. These parakeets were the last of the birds - but they didn't seem to like this fruit very much. So they left quickly.

Thank you so much in advance for your views, feedback and faves.

American Yellow Warbler posing nicely on the Sakura tree. I was really rewarded with this shot, I think.

The cherry trees started to blossom just last couple of days and to have this American Yellow Warbler right on the branch was more than I could wished for.

Thank you very much for viewing, faving, and commenting on my images.

Here is Charlie again looking quite happy among the flowers on my roof terrace. He clearly enjoyed inspecting all the plants which is something he can't do on the small balcony in his own home.

Done for the Nice Wonderful Tuesday Clouds group.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo💜💜

Gardens by the Bay is a nature park spanning on reclaimed land.

It is located in the Central Region of Singapore.

Gardens by the Bay is a tropical garden designed to celebrate the plants of the tropics

In January 2006, Gardens by the Bay began an international master plan design competition to get world-class ideas for the Gardens. The competition attracted more than 70 entries sent by 170 firms, from over 24 countries, including 35 from Singapore. Grant Associates and Gustafson Porter, both from UK, were awarded the master plan design for the Bay South and East Gardens in September 2006.

Bay East Garden is 32 hectares (79 acres) in size and it has a 2-kilometre (1.2 mi) promenade frontage bordering the Marina Reservoir. An interim park was developed at Bay East Garden in support of the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. It is designed as a series of large tropical leaf-shaped gardens, each with its own specific landscaping design, character and theme.

Supertrees are uniquely designed vertical gardens ranging from 25 to 50 meters in height (82 to 164 feet), with emphasis placed on the vertical display of tropical flowering climbers, epiphytes and ferns.

Supertrees perform a multitude of functions, which include planting, shading and working as environmental engines for the gardens. They are home to enclaves of unique and exotic ferns, vines, orchids and also a vast collection of bromeliads such as Tillandsia, amongst other plants.

The Comma is a fascinating butterfly. The scalloped edges and cryptic colouring of the wings conceal hibernating adults amongst dead leaves, while the larvae, flecked with brown and white markings, bear close resemblance to bird droppings.

The species has a flexible life cycle, which allows it to capitalize on favourable weather conditions. However, the most remarkable feature of the Comma has been its severe decline in the twentieth century and subsequent comeback. It is now widespread in southern Britain and its range is expanding northwards.

I have no idea how that white square got there,

The light seemed to spread like flame through the bracken after sunrise last weekend.
