AMC Graffiti

I believe it's on a foreign plates?. Must have been a rare sight in the UK, even in the mid 70s!

I was recently very kindly given a disc of old car show photos from the mid to late 70's which were found on glass slides in a skip and then scanned to disc, i thought i'd uploaded them to here, there are over 1100 images so it could take me a while!

I like these. Not a fan of the wheels on this one though.

I'm pretty sure a local used car dealership close to where I lived in the mid 90s had one of these as a sort of promotional tool. I think they had some other Americana as well. They're long gone now though.

This one, being RHD, is one of the few official imports before they stopped selling them here due to bad press I think, from the motoring journalists of the time. I believe they were converted to RHD by the importers, as they were only available as LHD from the factory.

Renault AMC 34 YR

The AMC 34 was a french cruiser tank from the early 1930's. It was developped to become the combat tank of the new french light mechanized divisions. After several years of service it was replaced by the AMC 35 wich was then replaced by the Somua S35 (because of the AMC 35 mechanical issues).

The tank was given 2 type of turrets: the APX1 (which is the same turret as D2 tanks and early B1 tanks) or the APX2 with a 25mm gun.

This model is quipped with the APX1 turret, it can fit a figure popping out of the back hatch.

Renault AMC 34 YR

AMC Rebel

This AMC Rebel (known because Rambler Rebel within 1967) can be a mid-size vehicle produced by American Magnetic motors Business (AMC) through 1967 to 1970. The item substituted your Rambler Basic. This Rebel seemed to be substituted because of the identical AMC Matador with the 1971...

AMC Eagle station wagon

Every time I do an AMC, I check to see if it has an "American" color option, because they usually do. This one is my favorite livery so far. Check out the red, white, and blue stripes in the grill! That's awesome. So is the hood tach that's built into the hood scoop. It's pure silly excess and I love it.

I've been pushing myself a bit with my builds lately, and this one isn't as complex as a lot of recent stuff I've tackled, but I still had to come up with a new technique or two to pull it off. It's a great feeling when it all comes together.

When life hands you lemons, make a really cool custom Gremlemin out of it. Complete with totally chromed out engine, clear firewall to see all the dazzle and gleam from inside the cabin and scissor doors, this lemony themed AMC Gremlin has it all! A lemonade maker in the back makes this yellow dud the coolest car on the block! Built for theFools Rush In challenge, denoting 15 diverse, foolish and totally rock stupid automotive categories.

Part of the display at this weekends AMC Expo. Now I'm not sure if the creator is here on Flickr, but I do know he'd love if you visited his bricklink store, Aussie Brickster, which is well on it's way to becoming Australia's largest Bricklink store.

I'm no expert on AMC vehicles, but think this one must be circa 1970. At the Henry, Illinois Cruise Night, 2018.

Shannon's Classic, Eastern Creek Raceway

A rather neglected looking AMC Gremlin in an industrial area. The car its self looked quite solid and rust free so might be saved still.

The AMC Pacer was built between 1975 and 1980. The rounded shape and large glass area were unusual compared with the three-box designs of the era. Technically it was a rather conservative car with a 4.2 litre six cylinder in-line engine and rear wheel drive. Due to its special styling the Pacer featured in a number of films.
