Many thanks to everyone for taking the time to view, fave, comment and invite!
I've been looking for this place for ages both on foot and online. I never like to ask where places such as this are to people who've been so I kept up the search. A picture from here came up on my feed which had a screenshot in the comments as to it's exact location. 30 seconds from the car, over a fence and down a muddy slope. Happy days.
I drove an hour from home, to a beautiful location in the Peak District just to drop into a rather smelly hole in the ground. I thought it was just the smell of nature but upon my exit I discovered someone had been down there and relieved themselves. Either that or the drains man who was in the car park on my exit was there to fix a problem with the sewers. Fingers crossed the former as my tripod and feet were submerged in the flow for about half an hour. If there is no upload tomorrow you'll know why.
5 shot polarised bracket, stacked in Lightroom as the difference in brightness from outside to in was massive.
A great little spot despite the aroma.
I'm off to clean my tripod.
Another shot of this 'irresistible-to-shoot' rock at the Flying Fish Cove on my trip last year to Christmas Island.
A 6 stop ND filter, a 66 second exposure and some beautiful background soft light.
I drove by this aging farmstead on the way home this afternoon southwest of Champaign, Illinois. Gray overcast skies made for a great opportunity to process this old barn and farmstead in black and white. Despite efforts to patch this barn up, it is continues to deteriorate.
It has been very cold lately. I took this photo when I walked along the river yesterday morning. Water was dripping from the roof of a building and formed this ice sculpture on a metal rod.
It´s a calender of the sunship where you can follow the time over the year. This is probably build about six hundred years ago but there are signs that indicate that there has been similary buildings on this place since around the eleventh centuary.
Just before sunset on the Midland Highway somewhere near Jerico, Tasmania.
A long day of site visits from Devonport to Launceston. There are bushfires everywhere - I think the whole state is shrouded in smoke at the moment. The smoke made the sunset an eerie orange/ red colour.
I took my eldest son with me on this trip - he turned 13 a few days ago and now has his own Canon DSLR. He took some amazing photos from this trip. It turns out that 13 is also the magic age to get a Flickr account, so we're going to set that up and you'll be able to see his wonderful work.

A sunny Sunday afternoon in the Kurpark.
Bad Oeynhausen is a nice little town in East Westphalia, famous as a spa centre for more than a century. My favourite place in town is the Kurpark (spa gardens) with beautiful garden architecture and historical buildings of the early days of the spa era. This Saturday we enjoyed the perfect Autumn sun in the park.
As the centuries pass, this outcrop stands firm.
This photo was taken by an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera and SMC PENTAX 67 1:4 45mm lens with a HOYA 82mm HMC Y[K2] filter using Adox CHS 100 II film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Stonehenge a Scheduled Ancient prehistoric monument located 2 miles west of Amesbury in Wiltshire.
One of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is the remains of a ring of standing stones set within earthworks. It is in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds.
Archaeologists believe it was constructed from 3,000 BC to 2,000 BC. The surrounding circular earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest phase of the monument, have been dated to about 3,100 BC. Radiocarbon dating in 2008 suggested that the first bluestones were raised between 2,400 and 2,200 BC. Another theory suggests the bluestones may have been raised at the site as early as 3,000 BC.
The site and its surroundings were added to the UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 1986 in a co-listing with Avebury Henge. It is a national legally protected Scheduled Ancient Monument. Stonehenge is owned by the Crown and managed by English Heritage, while the surrounding land is owned by the National Trust.
Archaeological evidence found by the Stonehenge Riverside Project in 2008 indicates that Stonehenge could have been a burial ground from its earliest beginnings. The dating of cremated remains indicate that deposits contain human bone from as early as 3000 BC, when the ditch and bank were first dug. Such deposits continued at Stonehenge for at least another 500 years.

Took this on our trip to the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. To see a different view of these barns see Whither Do You Wander by my wife.
I gave this a sepia tone and aged it for a vintage look.

Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa. I spent ages unsuccessfully trying to capture one of the sea lions that occasionally stuck their heads out of the water. You can just about see one directly beneath the orange buoys.
Iowa Chicago and Eastern's Davis Junction to Spaulding Turn was on the way home as it approached Monroe Center on an overcast day.
A pair of former SP GP40-2s and a former CP SD40 were topping the slight grade on the former Milwaukee Road.
That jointed rail has now been replaced by CP with heavy welded rail; one more reason to miss this stuff.
The Bronze Age - taken all the way in 2016(and only edited a couple of years ago) at my beloved Bronte Pool of the teenage boys and girls who hang out by the ropes on the ocean during the summer and are deeply tanned and bronzed. And it has been such an age since I have posted on here and connected with my wonderful Flickr community.
My love of photography continues however my platform now is Instagram(username: rosiebondi). I still use Flickr to store my photos however I have not gone public on here for nearly 4 years and a couple of my (very bad) un edited shots went live this evening and a couple of lovely pals - David and Roberto(tagged in this photo) - said hi. It brought back a flood of feelings for the wonderful people and friends that I made on here. I have made connections on Instagram too however nothing compares to the level of interaction and the kindness and support that I experienced on Flickr. Flick is always home to me.
In the last year I have been getting into analog and specifically medium format and specifically Mamiya (as it has a rangefinder feel and Ms. Leica M9 likes having Ms. Mamiya as a companion). So I am going backwards in time with my photography and will make more time to post on here again and not leave such an age again. Bear with me whilst I catch up with you guys xx
