Aged oak in the senile ontogenetic stage on the edge of the taiga forest along the Neva bay in St. Petersburg
Windows have always been a photography favourite for me but peeling paint and good light are harder and harder to find. This window is in an abandoned house but has the peeling paint, aging curtains, and the sunrise light needed to give it the texture, colour and shadow that I wanted. Taken in St. Joseph’s, Newfoundland.
I bought this hand made sculpture in Crete
some 30 years ago as a true 3D
replica of a restored mural in the bronze age palace of Knossos where the scene is set against a blue backdrop which I have tried to recreate here.
Sports, stunt or religion? I suppose we shall never have the exact answer as there are no written records and your imagination is as good as anyone else's. Likewise whether its depicting an aurochs or simply a domesticated bull. Some have maintained that the brown male is a worker, whilst the two white dames belong to the nobilty and so shed light on bronze age class society, and I suppose there is much more to be imagined and uttered.
Bringing you something different today to mark my birthday. I am trying to make an effort with learning Thai; a language that I am having a lot of trouble mastering. I recently learned how to ask to have my hair cut short. When I tried it out on my hairdresser she looked at me funny, asked if I was sure and when I responded positively she cut it way shorter than I ever remember!

is slowly disappearing. I went back to the same falls as the weather forecast for the coming week is pretty mild, which will result in melting ice. Might as well get some in before it's too late.

With their ornate brick facades and gables, Lübeck's medieval salt storage houses make for a great tapestry. As a major trading hub for commerce in the Baltics between, roughly, 1400 and 1700, one source of Lübeck's wealth was salt – harvested from salt wells in the region and sold to Scandinavia, where it was used to preserve fish.
