No kidding!
They've not only got brains - an AFOL brain is full of interesting stuff.
Here is an example that has been carefully revealed using high end technology.
This is a plastic mosaic.
The Ventral V-X2 Heavy Scout, designed and developed by Ventral Shipyards for Kellfarie Securities Bureau. This long range reconnaissance vessel was a vital component to the fledgling Bureau's mid-23rd-century fleet. Its long range warp nacelles and hyperbolic sleep chamber allows it's pilot to plot and explore the unknown regions of space.
The X2 was armed with twin missile salvos capable of delivering up to 8 concussion homing missiles. Plus, the vessel was equipped with a twin blaster cannon mounted to its bow.
It's scientific armament consist of an advanced subspace communication array and state-of-the-art sensory relay. A 15 cubic meter cargo bay allows the X2 to deliver emergency supplies to the far-reaching outpost or deploy beacons to monitor deep space.

Here a cool project I made with my friend Martin Chauvette for a LUG contest, it was a really fun collab to build this kind of thing. I don't usually build in this theme but for this MOC, it was an imposed theme,: GARAGE". So, we made an old fashioned Gas Pump.

The inseparable Orange Unit. A match made in heaven for their research and exploratory department. While the spider tank scans and investigates the scene, his partner is shortly behind, usually lifting things out of the way.

The Nissan Dualis (also known as the Qashqai) launched in 2006. The car (or crossover) was a replacement for the standard Small C-Car Almera and CD-Car Primera, all three cars having been built in the UK as market entrants to Europe.
The success of the the VW Golf lead Nissan to look to a more innovative entrant to the market segment size, hence the Crossover layout.
The car was otherwise conventional - FWD with optional AWD, a four-cylinder transverse engine, and conventional suspension.
A long wheelbase, 7-seat version was made available in 2008.
The car itself is nothing special - as an inexpensive vehicle, the handling is benign, the NVH is adequate, and performance is satisfactory.
Shown in black, the model here corresponds to that owned by my sister-in-law until recently. Good at getting dirty, black is not a great colour here in Australia, where it is also quite hot, and very sunny during summer.
