My entry for the #bricktechtournament on IG.

I came up with the idea of creating diorama of mages dueling within a alchemist’s laboratory in October of 2024. The Frost Wizard was already built when Brickscalibur came around with a similar category. I then built the Flame Witch and entered the two models in that competition just for fun. The end goal was always to place them in a large diorama along with a cowering Alchemist and their familiars. I had lots of fun coming up with things to place on the shelves and creating the Chimera trophy over the fireplace. I even added a microscale version of my Mesusa’s Lair model from last year as an Easter Egg.

I got tagged already twice, so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon as long as it is running at full speed.

1: My flickr username is derived from my favourite bicycle manufacturer.

2: Speaking of cycling, it's one of the few things which keep me sane.

3: I try to ignore the voices most of the time.

4: Actually, I don't like the sea very much. I'm more attracted to mountains.

5: Я учу русский язык.

6: I don't like happy dreams.

7: 2009 was both the best and worst year of my life.

8: I know vector algebra, but fail at two-digit divisions.

9: I still buy CDs. Mp3 downloads suck.

10: I collect T-shirts.

So, here are the rules: If you got tagged by me and are bored enough, post a pic of yourself, write 10 facts about you and tag 10 of your contacts.

If you don't do it, Oogie Boogie will eat your soul!

It took nearly four years (mostly due to a three-year hiatus in the middle), but I finally finished the interior of my custom City Hall

One of my requirements was that this chassis with a Jeep body on it must maintain the modular design that I incorporated into the chassis a few years ago. Although the chassis was loosely based on the design of a Lego set from 1978, I've modified it so much that I'd say it's mostly my own now. The steering assembly, engine, transmission, and hood can all be removed in a matter of seconds. Then you can play with each component individually and see how it works. The chassis is yellow (though the original set called for red), the interior, fenders, and bumpers are black, the body and steering assembly are red, and the engine and transmission are blue. Making the different components in different colors gives it a cool diagram-like appearance and was a great way to avoid running out of Legos. Another requirement was that I built it completely out of Legos that I already had, so that's one of the reasons you see some compromises.

This is the first of a few Covenant vehicles I am planning to do.

I love building in the dark purple colour and when used in contrast with dark bluish grey I think they look so aesthetically pleasing!

The hardest part, I find, about building Halo vehicles is trying to keep the scale correct for both standard minifigs and brick built figs. The Grunt in this picture wasn't too awkward, but i've made some brick built Elites and Brutes and trying to get them to fit on the same vehciles is a nightmare!

More to come soon!

A mosaic ode to one of my favorite graphic novels, now enjoying a second-life as the acclaimed series on HBO.

Heaviest siege weapon of the army of Faermoore. Powered by steam, and armed with a heavy cannon, this beast of a machine packs a punch when it works.

Recent Hong Kong public housing design tends to be modulated and monotonous. Let's recall our memories of childhood fun running around the public estate by bricks! Scenes like Chinese clinic, playground, corridors and metal gates are recreated. Occupation of corridor for decoration, while not allowed in Hong Kong, is somehow very common in Singapore.
