The big part (which we pick up) is 3 mm long, 1 mm across. The cantilever (horizontal spike on the left) is 125 microns long, 40 wide, and the tiny tip at the end you can just about see is about 8 microns tall. I was really amazed to see I could photograph this with my camera!
