Asta har fått några nya bord och blivit lite ompysslad och uppfräschad på det legendariska träbåtsvarvet i Hällevikstrand. Jag hade sån tur att jag kom dit dagen före sjösättning, och kunde pricka in ögonblicket tidigt nästa morgon när hon sakta gled tillbaka ner i sitt rätta element.
Asta är ett k-märkt fartyg och tillhör alltså vårt skyddade gemensamma kulturarv.
The fishing boat Asta af Smögen is a world heritage ship. This famous shipyard on the island of Orust is specialized on old ships built from wood, like Asta. I was lucky to catch her early in the morning when she is launched back into the sea after some weeks of maintenance on land.

Launched in 1982, the Ricoh AF-5 is a point and shoot autofocus compact camera for 35mm film with integral flash and autofocus, manufactured by Ricoh. It's a little bulkier than its rivals from Canon (Sure Shot) and Nikon (L35AF), but is capable of similar results. The lens produces particularly contrasty photos in good light.

One of my favourites from a test roll of film that I put through my recently purchased Olympus Trip point and shoot camera. I was under the impression that it was broken when I was using it, considering that there was no sign that the camera was metering light and it took about 10 presses of the shutter button before a photo actually took. But to my surprise, all the shots from the roll came out.

The note on the window, Lake Elsinore and Ontario Mills are both outlet malls while Moreno Valley is a large factory store, it sucks that it closed as the mall has seriously been losing stores... ☹
The ship Af Chapman lies moored in central Stockholm at the island Skeppsholmen. She now acts as one of the cities most well known hostels.
Shot in the blue hour a cold February evening in 2011.

You should really watch this Large On Black since that brings out more details. My pictures aren't balanced for a white background and a lot of the finer details are lost in this small format. the large version is a sixth of the original and the one one shown gere is even smaller.
