Shantung Maple, Shandong Maple, or Purpleblow Maple is a maple native to northern China & North Korea. USDA Zone 4. Grown from seed by Jon Genereaux (MSU) on 9/9/2009. Still alive in 2013, just barely. Looking good in 2017.

The trunks and other primary branches of Acer negundo, boxelder, are many and often broken and splay outward in various directions. The opposite compound leaves bear leaflets with coarsely dentate margins. The paired winged fruits are typically reddish when young. This site lies at the base of Peets Hill, Burke Park, Bozeman, Montana.
Ace is a beautiful Black Lab mix and is awaiting a special person to make his home with.

Meyer Ace Hardware (315 E 35th St) Once owned by Louis Armstrong and Al Capone, this building housed the legendary Sunset Café, a jazz club that hosted the likes of Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and Cab Calloway. Now it's a hardware store, but visitors can still view the erstwhile venue's stage.

i liked the look of this print from habitat and thought id have a go at creating something similar myself with the acer in my garden, with the intent of printing one of them out big for the living room (haven't decided which yet). the leaves are a little broken looking as we've had a few bursts of hailstones in the last few weeks :-(
