Sorry but my internet connection isn't great at the moment, will view and comment when I'm able.
Taken at RHS Wisley a couple of weekends ago - I loved the twisted shapes of the branches. Processed in Nik.
A delightful Acer in someone's front garden. Just a pity they've got scaffolding up.
Better viewed large.
Thank you for your favourites. :O)
Cheap eats, but aces high goodness in the tummy all the way... And a sweet S&P to boot... Gotta love that!
I love the Autumn and the changing colours of the leaves as the trees store up their nutrients for the cold days ahead.
Leaf colour comes from pigments. These are natural substances produced by leaf cells to help them obtain food. The three pigments that colour leaves are chlorophyll (green), carotenes (yellow) and anthocyanins (reds and pinks).
The depth of colour is influenced by the blend of chemical processes and weather conditions.
Cold nights: low temperatures destroy chlorophyll so the green leaf fades to yellow, but if temperatures stay above freezing, anthocyanin production is enhanced and the leaves take on a red colour.
Dry weather: sugars become concentrated in the leaves, more anthocyanin is produced and consequently leaves are redder.
Bright sunny days: although the production of new chlorophyll stops in autumn, photosynthesis can still occur on sunny autumn days, using the remaining chlorophyll. Sugar concentration increases, more anthocyanin is produced and the leaves are redder.

Day 171 of 365 - Acer Aspire One
View Large On Black - if you prefer :)
Sorry the photography mojo is still not flowing too well. But I did want to share with you guys this new toy. It's an Acer Aspire One d250 netbook. It came with windows but do not fear, fixed it ;). I put ubuntu netbook addition on it. Really cool little surfing machine. In any case hopefully I will start to think of some new things to shoot soon.
A cake in the colors of the asexual pride flag, because why not. Based off of the phrase "I'd rather eat cake", which is quite popular in the asexual community.
Lets see how many followers I lose over this. :P
Technically, he’s a Mini Bernedoodle, but in real life, he’s just a poodle mix. In fact, I think he’s only 1/8th Bernese Mountain dog. I will tell you he is one of the smartest of the 16 dogs I have raised! And he looks great on the green blanketed chair. I’m loving the new camera I just bought!
Rain-fall
It wouldn’t be autumn if I didn’t show some acer photos. Also, it wouldn’t be autumn if we didn’t get rain.
But, after the rain, there are photo opportunities.
Every cloud has a silver – or red – lining!

Fifty-five years ago today, Charles Schulz's cartoon special It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown aired for the first time on television. While Charlie Brown and his friends were out trick-or-treating, Snoopy made his screen debut as the World War I flying ace, whose sole objective was to find the Red Baron and shoot him down. Snoopy’s airborne duel with Von Richthofen left his dog house riddled with bullet holes, but the brave beagle lived to fight another day.
Some inspiration taken from headzsets and Tyler.
Soli Deo Gloria and happy building,
