Arguably one of the best vantage points to view Melbourne's city skyline. This is taken from as far as the public can walk along the St Kilda pier. The pier itself extends further toward to city. Maybe I'll get to admire the view from the end of the pier one day.

The pathway to Pedn Vounder beach can only be described as challenging....especially after rainfall. The descent is steep, near vertical in areas and should not be attempted without suitable footwear and a total disregard for ones own safety...:-)))
The tide denied me access to the beach on this occasion, so I perched on a ledge and soaked up the view....and the rain too.
Logan Rock can be seen in the distance, towards the far right of the image, which is an example of a logan or rocking stone. Although it weighs some 80 tons, it was dislodged in 1824 by a group of British seamen, intent on showing what the Navy could do. However following complaints from local residents for whom the rock had become a tourist attraction and source of income, the seamen were forced to restore it. Today the Logan Rock still rocks, but with much less ease than it did in the past. The South West Coast Path, which follows the coast of south-west England from Somerset to Dorset passes by on the cliffs to the north.
The granite cliffs themselves provide the eye with some beautiful texture and being an overcast day, it was crying out to be processed in BNW which I hope you enjoy.
