ABC Warrington. Opened August 1937 by Union as the Ritz, designed by Owen Bond. Taken over by ABC just two months later, but not renamed until around 1960. Split into bingo in the stalls and cinema in the balcony in 1972, second screen opened in 1980 in former café. Closed 1982, later converted to Mr Smiths nightclub, also now closed. In 2015 the empty building was set on fire and destroyed, the remains being swiftly demolished.
