Westover / ABC / Cannon / MGM / Odeon Cinema, Bournemouth. Opened as the Westover in June 1937, designed by W R Glen for ABC Cinemas (renamed 1958), with 2,515 seats in stalls and balcony. Using the art deco style, the vast cinema was equipped with a restaurant, balcony café, small stage and a Compton Organ. It was closed for 9 months from September 1969 for twinning, and ABC 2 was itself twinned in 1973. Renamed Cannon, MGM, and back to ABC (under Odeon control). Closed in January 2017 when Odeon took over the BH2 multiplex on completion of the building work. Likely to be demolished before long.

Ian Allan ABC combined volume 1952 as issued with a dust wrapper design by A N Wolstenholme. Under the signature ANW he produced numerous spot illustrations and cover designs for the Ian Allan ABC range of titles. Much of the work looks like the product of a maestro of the scraper board but he could turn his hand to conventional painting when it was required.
