Cruiseships are regular visitors in the high-season months. This is the "Zuiderdam" of the Holland-America-Line, docked in Kralendijk. Thousands of mortifying tourists swarm the little island and hop on similarly mortifying rush-tours in things like "party busses". Get away as quickly as you can!

My great aunt used to love to travel too. Most of her travel was back in the day when the planes had propellers and the 'stewardesses" wore pillbox hats. I inherited a plaque that was presented to her by the head of United Airlines when she had flown her 100,000th mile. When I was traveling for business, I did that every year, and I never got a plaque!

One of her travel sayings was "ABC"...which either stood for Another Bloody Church or Another Bloody Castle. I am thinking of her as I post yet another picture of another castle.

This is another one whose name escapes me.
