Unlike diesel loco listing books, these were timeless except that by this time engines were gradually being withdrawn as diesels replaced them. Combined Volumes were better unless you were trainspotting only within one region and then these books would list all, including Standard steam engines you would be likely to see.

Located at 300-310 High Road, Ilford, Essex. This opened as the Regal Cinema in 1937, Architect: William R. Glen, with a seating capacity of 1,964. It became the ABC in 1962 and was tripled in 1973. Closed in January 1984 it became a bingo club, then a live music venue known as 'The Island' as seen in this summer 1994 photograph. Now an Asian banqueting hall and a pub.
The old ABC was used as a Gala bingo up until April 2010 when it suddenly closed.. maybe i left it a bit to late before visiting but when we visited this month we found the auditorium pretty gutted.

It is the commercial arm of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation which at the time operated around 50 outlets around Australia, as well as a further 70 'ABC Centres' in newsagencies and bookshops around the country - in both metropolitan and regional areas. The stores sell CDs DVDs books and merchandise related to programs broadcast on the ABC TV and radio - both locally produced shows and material from the BBC!
The chain has been in operation for 35 years but with the small footprint stores with relatively high rents profits have steadily declined in recent years with the chain posting a loss last financial year. In addition to online competition (including from the ABC itself), many of the products are available at larger chain stores such as JB Hi Fi (CDs, DVDs) and Dymocks (books)
ABC stores will be gradually closed as leases expire for individual stores.

Hawaii's convenience store chain, ABC Stores, operates several locations around Las Vegas. This is the Fremont Street Experience location.
Merchandise carried are similar to those of ABC Stores in Hawaii, such as macadamia nuts and Hawaiian goods, as well as souvenir goods that are Las Vegas-specific.
Las Vegas is ABC Stores' only outpost in the US mainland. Additionally, there are so many Hawaiians in Las Vegas that Las Vegas is often nicknamed "the ninth Hawaiian island."
ABC News visited Jalalabad, and went to the same rural village I was doing some work in. They took a picture of the same girl as in one of my photos.
She happens to be one of the brightest, most expressive children I've ever seen. Always dancing and laughing. It's impossible to see her and not want to try and capture some of her joy.

ABC Cinema Wakefield. Despite closure of over 15 years the brickwork of the Cannon is still - at a superficial look - in great condition, the same cannot be said for the roof. From the rear the large stage is evident.
