"Nahe dieser Gedenkstätte stand die Hallesche Synagoge von 1870.
In der Progromnacht vom 9. Nov. 1938 wurde sie durch die Faschisten zerstört.
Erhalten blieb nur das Portal zum Großen Berlin. 1965 wurde es Teil einer Gedenkstätte für die Opfer unter unseren jüdischen Mitbürgern.
Im Rahmen der Neubebauung wurde 1984 das Portal geborgen und im Jahre 1987 in neuer architektonischer Fassung an dieser Stelle wieder errichtet."

Today was great [except the fact that my allergies are kickin' in 120%. I mean, common'! Watery eyes, stuffy nose, sneezing 24/7. It's horrible.] We had perfect weather, and I got to watch movie while eating root beer floats. Mmmm, lovely. Hope you all are having a fabulous week (:

Cuantos KM realizaremos juntos?, a donde nos llevaran?, no debemos dejarnos arrastrar por la costumbre del sendero conocido, debemos prometernos que estaremos atentos a los cruces inexplorados, a los rincones pendientes de descubrir, que caminaremos con alegría incluso en los dias difíciles y tristes. Me ayudaras a correr detrás de mis bichejos, a pasear junto a mi pareja, saldremos en busca de los amigos y aguantaremos estoicamente las esporádicas salidas nocturnas. Nos mojaremos en los dias de lluvia o atravesando aquel riachuelo que no sabíamos de donde venia, nos llenaremos de polvo y la hierva marcara su territorio en tu tela, esto te dará dignidad y nos hará compartir sentimientos de agradecimiento.

had no laptop yesterday but got one again from carolyns work for tonight.
good news is i'm getting a new camera a nikon D3200 not the camera i want but is all i can afford(or my dad can) but still only got laptop thats from corolyns work when she can bring it home.

Eleven years ago today I learned of the terrorist attacks like most everyone else...on tv. Was scheduled to go to work at 2 but they called and told me not to come in until 6 as we were going to minimal staffing. Showed up and went through three different ID checks before heading to the tower alone. There was a ramp full of exotic planes from the sudden grounding earlier in the day... and not a soul in the air.
One of the weirdest experiences of my career. The skies tonight were almost exactly as I remember that evening.
