For my AS Media Studies Coursework I'm creating a music magazine, this shot was taken during a photoshoot that I had for the project with singer-songwriter Sam Beeton in Nottingham
This outfit is made up of two items I'd never put together before. The top is the red one from my very first purchase at Wal-mart almost two years ago; the skirt is the very attractive and sexy checked skirt from Kmart, purchased this summer. The combination was more successful than I'd imagined.
Accessories are gold jewelry, black belt, headband, fishnet hose, and red baby-doll pumps.

The Ulmerton Cinema 9 was opened by United Artists in 1986. Carmike eventually took over and it operated as a dollar theater before closing in 1999. It was most recently a truck dealership, which closed just after I realized that I should get a picture of this place. How convenient.
Still, thirteen years is a surprisingly short life span for such a large theater.

I didn't take a 366 today because I had Spanish after school and it was dark by the time I got home. I could have taken one inside but how boring would that be considering most of them are already inside, but I have a really nice idea for tomorrow's, as it's double figures and all ;)
Another from my lomo camera from the day I broke up from school for Christmas, the first and only snow of the month. It was beautiful.

What is: The pathway down to the River site.
What was: In 1955, the body found here was declared dead but became subject of much speculation. Was it really Emmett Till; perhaps it was someone else planted by the NAACP to cause trouble; was it really a black man; the deterioration so significant that the body could not have been in the water just 3 days. All of this is what gave the jury the “shadow of a doubt” argument for acquittal. As a result of a reopening of the case in 2004 and an exhumation and official autopsy, the FBI reported: “Following the June 2, 2005 autopsy of the body removed from the gravesite alleged to contain the remains of Emmett Till evidence collected was processed and forwarded to the laboratory. The Anatomic Diagnosis: 1) Gunshot wound to the head 2) Multiple comminuted skull fractures 3) multiple lead fragments recovered from head and skull 4) fractures of the right and left wrist bones 5) fracture of the distal left femur 6) embalmed body with numerous venting incisions in the skin and floor of mouth 7) missing left upper central incisor with open socket. Vom 9. Jahrhundert an bestand eine Siedlung, die der Ausbeutung der Salzquellen an der Mündung der Persante diente. Diese wurde zuerst in der Chronik Thietmar von Merseburgs unter dem Namen salsa Cholbergiensis erwähnt, und zwar als Sitz des Bischofs Reinbern im Jahre 1000. Mit dessen Vertreibung ging einige Jahre später das Bistum wieder unter. Im Jahre 1124 verkündete Bischof Otto von Bamberg in Kolberg das Christentum und weihte 1125 die Marienkirche ein. Mit der Gründung einer deutschen Stadt in der Mitte des 13. Jahrhunderts dann ging der Name Kolberg auf diese über. Die alte Siedlung bestand unter dem Namen Altstadt (heute auch polnisch Budzistowo) weiter.
Im Zuge der deutschen Ostkolonisation ließen sich deutsche Siedler etwa 2 km nördlich der bestehenden slawischen Siedlung nieder. Es entstand ein Ort mit regelmäßigem Grundriss und einer umlaufenden Mauer. 1248 tauschten Herzog Barnim I. und Bischof Wilhelm Kolberg und Stargard, das 1255 durch die Brandenburger Markgrafen Johann und Otto bestätigt wurde. 1255 erhielt die „neue“ Siedlung Kolberg von Herzog Wartislaw III. von Pommern und Bischof Hermann von Gleichen von Cammin das Stadtrecht nach Lübischem Recht. Die weiter bestehende wendische Stadt verlor nach Verlegung von Domkapitels 1287 und der Marienkirche, dem späteren Kolberger Dom, in die neue Stadt 1282 ihre Bedeutung. Später Altstadt Kolberg genannt, blieb sie als Dorf erhalten und ist heute als Budzistowo eingemeindet. 1277 wurde Kolberg Teil des Stifts Cammin, des weltlichen Herrschaftsgebiets des Bischofs. Der Hanse, in der es bis 1610 blieb, gehörte Kolberg sicherlich bereits vor der ersten urkundlichen Erwähnung der Zugehörigkeit 1361 an. In dieser Blütezeit der Stadt waren die Salzproduktion, der Salzhandel und der Fischfang die Haupteinnahmequellen Kolbergs und brachten großen Wohlstand. Seit Anfang des 14. Jahrhunderts als Hansestadt besaß Kolberg ein eigenes Münzrecht, das 1548 durch Kaiser Karl V. bestätigt wurde, als die Stadt ihm huldigte. 1530 wurde in Kolberg die Reformation eingeführt. Um die Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts erhielt die Stadt ein Lyzeum.
Im 17. Jahrhundert entvölkerte sich Kolberg durch die Pest und den Dreißigjährigen Krieg mit seinen Auswirkungen. 1627 besetzten kaiserliche Truppen die Stadt und befestigten sie. 1631 eroberten die Schweden Kolberg nach fünfmonatiger Belagerung. (Wikipedia)
