Birmingham Central operated route 97 is still in the hands of 20 route branded Tridents from the 2003 intake (4455-4475). Here 4455 and 4472 are seen waiting time on Moor Street before heading out to Chelmsley Wood.

I took the camera to Raintree with me two days in a row. I do love making portraits of the little people. This little sprite has a sweet birdsong voice that matches her smiling eyes and warm spirit.

I met Jenny in Sleaford near the swimming pool where she had just collected her son from a swimming lesson. Jenny asked if I had seen the Kingfisher and we started a great conversation. ARRIVA Kent Thameside 3089 P289 FPK is seen on Green Street Green Road between Green Street Green and Lane End whilst working route 433. Saturday 1st February 2014.
This is now one of only two P-reg Darts in service with ARRIVA Kent Thameside at Northfleet the other being 3228 P228 MKL.

This military Boeing C-97 "Stratofreighter" can be compared with the civil version Boeing 377 "Stratocruiser".
The C-97 was pressurised and could cruise at 30.000 feet. Her maiden flight was made in Renton in November 1944.
She was powered with four Pratt and Whitney R-4360 Wasp piston engines, each 4 rows, in total each engine 28 cilinders.
It is not difficult to see the influence of the B-29 Stratofortress of WW2!
After WW2 she was converted to a "fuel tanker in air" and used during the cold war.
This aircraft XA-PII with construction number 17149, first flew with USAF as 53-3816. Her last operator was the Mexican, Aeropacifico.
This photo is made when this aircraft was sold to Hamilton Aviation at Tucson, Arizona in December 1992, where I caught her.
No more flying, she is broken up in 2003.
The cockpit section was saved and moved to Pima Air Museum in Arizona.
