Here is another from South Coyote Buttes a couple weeks ago. Shot shortly after sunrise. This is just a few miles south of the very famous 'Wave' and is very similar, but much larger and more diverse. There are so many crazy rock formations to shoot here, I actually like it more than The Wave (also known as North Coyote Buttes)
I just loved all the repeating patterns created by the reflecting pool. Just wish I could have gotten some reflections later that afternoon when I visited White Pocket. Unfortunately, by then the wind had kicked up and the reflections were gone.
Something you dont see usually, The workhorse of the bus. 913 DTT had a bit of bother, and my son, Ash,is taking a mechanics course at school, so was straight in there taking this photo!

La tempête n'enlève pas le manteau de l'homme qui marche face au vent, au contraire... + il souffle et + l'homme s'accroche.
La caresse du soleil lui ôte très rapidement.
Continuons à faire briller le soleil... le manteau tombera.
hey guys :)
this picture marks my new beginning concerning photography in 2014.
i have some resolutions and i started already :) i want to develop myself, i want to take risks and have fun and i want to try new things. i want to make exact plans for some shoots with concepts and small teams and moreover i want to improve. I want to order all my stuff of 2014 on my hard drive and i want to keep track of anything a little more.
However, laugh and live more, complain less :)
It is impressing how I fall in love with photography even more with every time I shoot..This was my first shoot in 2014 and it is one of my all time favourits.
I was the happiest human alive that day and it was definetely an adventure worth telling. :)
Now I can´t wait to show you the whole story.
I just got back yesterday from yet another offroad adventure. I found one of the most amazing Grand Canyon viewpoints I've ever seen, called Tatahatso Point. It is many miles from absolutely nowhere, on the eastern part of the canyon, south of Horseshoe Bend in Page. The road was BRUTAL! It was one of the most hardcore 4x4 roads I have ever attempted. My poor Toyota.
Left the motorhome at a campground in Cameron, which was the closest RV park I could find to this place. Plotted out my route on Google Earth and found several waypoints. Looked like it would take an hour or so to get there from Cameron, so I left several hours before sunset. Well… It took more than an hour. It took FOUR hours! I missed sunset. Dusk came and went, and I had to do the roughest part of the drive in the dark.
The first 15 or so miles offroad was on a nice smooth dirt road. Every mile or so you would have to cross a huge rut where the road washed out in all the recent flooding. Unfortunately, I was driving directly into the sun, so I couldn't see these ruts coming. I hit a few of them so hard that I had to get out and make sure my wheels were still attached. Then the road drove right into the middle of a lake which is obviously not normally there, but has filled up after all the recent flooding. So, I had to plow my way over a couple miles of shrubbery to drive around it, until I found where the road emerged out the other side of the lake. At another point, I took a wrong turn and got on a road that suddenly dead ended with a bunch of big rocks blocking the road. I got out and climbed up on the rocks and on the other side of them was about a thousand foot cliff! So, I turned around. This is where the road got BRUTALLY NASTY!!! A couple miles of slowly rock crawling down big, jagged edged boulders, down the side of a canyon.
As I was coming down the steep canyon wall, I thought to myself, 'Wouldn't it be funny if I get to the bottom and there is a big bus full of Japanese tourists there. (Like everywhere else I have gone this summer)'
So… I slept in my truck out there and was probably the only person within 20 miles of that spot. Didn't get to see this spectacular vista until I woke up the next morning.

SULLO SFONDO IL CAMPANILE DI SAN MARCO
Venezia è davvero unica sotto tanti aspetti.

IN THE BACKGROUND THE BELL TOWER OF SAN MARCO
Venice is truly unique in so many ways. Among these there is certainly the way in which neighborhoods, streets and squares are called: these are curious and singular names that tell the story of the city.
First of all, the lagoon capital is divided into six sestieri, or districts, within which we find calli, campi, campielli and many other denominations that sound bizarre to the ears of every foreigner.
In Venice, therefore, you will not find streets, but strictly feminine streets: there are many, some with romantic names such as Calle Amor dei Amici. There are only two streets: Via Garibaldi in the Castello district and Via XXII Marzo, the luxury shopping street just behind Piazza San Marco.
But Venice is a city on water and therefore the waterways are passable too! There are only two canals, the Grand Canal and the Giudecca Canal. All the others are called rii, and each of these has its own name!
