The Milwaukee skyline captured during an 87 second long exposure using 16 stops of neutral density filters on a bright sunny day.
I nipped over the Pennines to see the folks in Sheffield today and took this on the way back over the Snake Pass this afternoon. An idea I've had in mind for months and just not got around to doing and it was dark enough to enable me to drag the shutter just enough to capture the motion I was after. I'd have preferred it without the cars in the background but as one of them is mine I can't really complain!
For nearly a year eight empty picture frames have hung on that wall. I suppose I got used to the commercial style photographs staring out at me, and always said I would take pictures worth putting in them--but never did. Now ten old vinyl records hang in their place. I keep rearranging them though, funny how it's so hard to try and get circuler objects to look randomly spaced.
Anyway, I'm rather fond of the colors and the way the sun reaches through my window in the late afternoon.

Yay, power outage! All day after I got home from my shoot :(
I'm scared to edit photos after I lost SO MUCH work earlier, but please be patient and know that I am editing as much as I can tomorrow so you WILL have photos if you are waiting for them. Small delay, if any :)
I hate not being able to work, but it was great to play my guitar and drink some delicious drinks for a while!

With the skyline seen on the horizon, CN 3115 leads a manifest past UP's massive Englewood Yard in east Houston. The train will be taking the switch in the foreground to turn north to its destination of UP's Settegast Yard.

A guy was out kicking rocks waiting for these three GE's when he should have been shooting the KCS 2973. Such is life.
A few of the more scenic locales on the MNNR's stretch south of New Brighton tend to favor morning light. With that, I opted for a touch of the dark side amidst the bucolic high tension lines as the line jogs to the southwest on another warm and dry evening.

Someone wasn't happy with me. I was too busy to play (but not too busy to fire off a snap!). I've used a free preset on this one to make the poor focus look like it was meant to be. Good save I say (he moves too quick for me).

It's interesting to note the price of a gallon of gasoline which can easily be read when viewed in large size. Those are pre-1975 prices. So are these gas pumps props or the real thing?

LT67 LTZ1067 seen departing Clapham Junction working on route 87 towards Wandsworth.
Since the end of March 2020, LTs have been the allocation for the 87 after route 88 converted back to conventional buses due to the length at the Parliament Hill Fields section of the route. LT67 is one of the batch for route 11 as distinguished by the normal Go-Ahead logo, but as usual for most LTs, they mixed onto other LT operated routes. Conventional buses do still appear on route 87 but usually in late evenings only.
