This Austin 7 was taken at the War & Peace Show - I love the character that these old cars have!
The Austin 7 was an economy car produced from 1922 through to 1939 in the United Kingdom by the Austin Motor Company. Nicknamed the "Baby Austin", it was one of the most popular cars ever produced for the British market, and sold well abroad. It wiped out most other British small cars and cyclecars of the early 1920s; its effect on the British market was similar to that of the Model T Ford in the USA. It was also licensed and copied by companies all over the world. The very first BMW car, the BMW Dixi, was a licensed Austin 7, as were the original American Austins. In France they were made and sold as Rosengarts. In Japan Nissan also used the 7 design as the basis for their original cars, although not under licence.
Many Austin 7s were rebuilt as "specials" after the Second World War, including the first Lotus, the Lotus Mk1, which was based on an Austin 7. Such was the power of the Austin 7 name that the company re-used it for early versions of the A30 in 1951 and Mini in 1959.
Prompt #7 from Janel of "Run with Scissors" Journal prompts
Journal Prompt 7: Today is an easy one... How are you feeling today? Sometimes it's really good to reflect on your feelings and try to figure out why you are feeling a certain way.
Today was not really a good day.
Route 7 was a limited service running from Aldershot to Camberley via Farnborough Road, Farnborough, Cove, Hawley Lane and Blackwater. It was withdrawn on 17 May 2010.
Lucky then that I grabbed this shot of Stagecoach Hants & Surrey 16366 (N366 LPN) from the passenger seat, as it is my only shot of this route.
London Road at Knoll Road, Camberley, Surrey.
Happy New Year !!!

This was another failed preservation attempt.A chance phone call to what is now Easter Ross Coaches ended up in us making the 200-odd mile journey from Paisley to Tain in the Scottish Highlands.
The bus is Former Western Scottish Seddon Pennine 7 DSD983V.
She had been put out to grass at he company's former base in the village of Brora , and when we found her again we fell in love! After fitting batteries , she fired first time after sittng for the best part of 4 or 5 years!
983 was one of a pair of Y Type Seddons to be fitted with a Voith Gearbox (983) and a ZF Box (984) and after starting and freeing off the brakes , she made the 20 mile journey to the company's new base in Tain. This is exactly how she was when we moved her that twenty miles and how we didnt get the Jail , I'll never know!
Loch Ericht ia a substantial fresh water loch at an altitude of 351m (1153 feet) above sea-level in the Grampian Mountains, straddling the boundary between Highland and Perth & Kinross.
Measuring 14½ miles (23 km) in length and about three-quarters of a mile in width, it has a surface area of 18.6 sq. km (7.2 sq. miles) and is the tenth largest freshwater loch in Scotland.
Just a phone shot tonight....got home, started dinner, wanted wine...the photo was born. Also, bloody love these glasses!
Shot using the S7's very clever selective focus mode.
This week has been a bit of a bust. I had 2 separate astrophotography projects planned and the weather would just not cooperate.
My backup plan was using the roses that I had planned on buying for my wife as a subject with the marco lens.
This image is at 15 image focus stack. The last time I did focus stacking I used the method of changing the focus ring on the lens to move the focus. This time I used my macro focusing rail to physically move the camera.
I think the image quality is the same as well as the sharpness. What this method does help with is focus breathing.
Not a portfolio image by any stretch...but...I am learning more about focus stacking with macro and hope to do more of this in the Spring as we get flowers and bugs in the yard.
My new bed arrived around 10.30 so I spent the next hour assembling it after mauling it upstairs. Then it was off to join the humongous queue to the local tip to drop off a few bags before a quick visit to B&Q to get an aerial for my bedroom TV. Fixed that up when I got in and did one or two bits around the house in preparation for the plumber/builder/electrician guy who's coming to do the bathroom tomorrow. The bedroom style is very much inspired by Amelie., right down to the Michael Sowa prints you can see here.

"So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad, and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be."
The second photo in my The Perks of Being a Wallflower series.
Sorry this isn't the greatest, I've been super stressed about my AP work. I still have to read 3 books and do essays and logs for them by the time I go back to school. Which is Wednesday. Now would be a good time for my super powers to kick in... :\

Up from Singapore, she'd come with her entourage for some fun in the sun and a wedding celebration. It was her naturally tanned skin, tanned over and over again by being in the sun and the bleached tuft of hair that caught my eye. It was at a late breakfast I asked for some of her time and this portrait.
My project of public portraits. I've given myself a project of photographing different people from all walks of life. The project requires me to get a little information about what they do or why they were there. Its a little inquisition to the people I share my environment with. The numeral preceding the title indicates the photograph number in the sequence.

The 7 train is my local subway. It goes from Main Street in Flushing, Queens to Times Square in Manhattan. It's kind of rare to see the subway cars so empty like this!
This is a 3 shot HDR image, done with Photomatix and then run through Photoshop.
7-Eleven #19634 (2,510 square feet)
8343 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester, VA
This location was built and opened in 1980.
This photo (stolen from the Gloucester Property Records page) shows the location in 2001. The cupola atop the building was removed a few years later and in 2007 7-Eleven branded gas replaced Citgo. Here's the store in 2008.
