We are not so much out this year, all of us together.
Yes, the girls still get up to the farm, the lakes, hang out at the local cafés...
but not with me.
They are accepting to this routine now and still enjoy the easy days at home.
There's no protests, no demands.
They let me know, they still like to be around me.
With their love.
Reminding me there's always blessings to be had.
Here's the Pip, just chillin' at home on a very warm winter's day, looking out for any activity in the paddocks out the back.
For July's 12 Months for Dogs group project, 'Lazy Days'.
Hope you all had a very good month x

Strangely I’m not what you would call a ‘Food Fan’. Eating is something you do to not be hungry. Get it over and done with so you can do stuff. Unlike some who see food, and its associated pleasures, as the ‘doing’.
However, as I knew I’d be having a selfish weekend, last nights supermarket shop was a little indulgent.
I did roast potatoes today – something I haven’t the heart (or diet plan) to bother with. But I bloody love roast potatoes. I bought steak. I bought chocolates. And I bought two of these sticky, sweet, squishy cream buns.

The 7 images I chose to sum up this autumn. Three were taken from trips out - you really need good weather to enjoy the colours of the season! One is using the fruits of the season to make conserves that will last us through the winter months. Three use leaves, so emblematic of autumn. One uses the red berries of autumn - and for two I just had to slip in the crystal ball and marbles that I've been having fun with this autumn too! The images are all in my photostream, and I hope you have enjoyed them - I certainly enjoyed taking and making them ;o)

I know this isn't a picture taken with my DSLR, but I made a conscious decision to make this part of my 52 week because it really is a moment I'd like to remember from the year.
Happy (belated) Valentines everyone.
who says silence is a bad thing?
oh and thank you, really I mean it.

Set the camera on Orion as it was rising last night, unfortunately the wind decided not to cooperate and I had to throw out ~90% of my subs. Despite this all of the highlights of the region including some fainter dust and nebulosity can be seen.
