I honestly never understood people who start to "really live" after they lose someone. Until now.

And I didn't even really know him, not that well at least. I can tell you two, maybe three, stories about him and that's it. But I get it now. He was 20 years old.

What that means is that I've been given at least two more years than him, but why? And that got me thinking "have I done anything in my two more years of life?" Because I'd hate to think that someone who could have had more life wasn't given the opportunity to.

And I do feel like I really have made these past two years count - I moved to the mountains with my best friend, I've made lifelong friends. I traveled to random places and saw beautiful things. I had a casual lunch with Matthew Grey Gubler! And I've fallen madly, deeply in love with an amazing man.

But this makes me scared for the years to come. What if, one day, we lose someone again, someone who I could have gone for instead, and what if I realize that the extra years I was given have been wasted?

It's strange to want to live for someone I only knew by the ink on his arm, but it seems unfair that I've already had more time than him and it seems completely unfair if I waste it.

This is just so fun and happy i love it. SOOC. Top of the world. You have to Press L there is no other way to view it.

Johan Borgman (1889-1976) was a spiritual healer, art painter and poet from the Netherlands. During his lifetime he painted over 400 paintings, mainly seascapes. What is distinctive about his work is that Borgman painted the sea without ships or people. Striking is that during his lifetime Borgman visited the sea only once. Borgman based his paintings on this single experience and postcards op the sea that he collected. There is very little known about Borgman’s motivation to paint seascapes.

Ça n’a même parfois rien à voir !

I went to see my son Jai's year 12 students perform this play "CLASS OF 77" on Friday night. This was Jai's first play direction as a Drama teacher.

The shots aren't very sharp as they were the first photos I took with my new Canon Rebel XTi and I didn't get a chance to work out all the settings. All of the photos were taken with the flash off.

It was a very entertaining night. Jai played a small part as a body guard.

For the full article, go here: anaussieaffair.blogspot.com/2008/07/class-of-77.html

Forward: Class of 77 is a story about the process of change, of growing up and making the best of what we are confronted with in life. Sure, it’s a comedy, it’s a love story, it’s a musical but essentially it’s about not regretting the past, our youth, and making the most of the present. Live in the moment and plan for the future
