Ça n’a même parfois rien à voir !

I went to see my son Jai's year 12 students perform this play "CLASS OF 77" on Friday night. This was Jai's first play direction as a Drama teacher.

The shots aren't very sharp as they were the first photos I took with my new Canon Rebel XTi and I didn't get a chance to work out all the settings. All of the photos were taken with the flash off.

It was a very entertaining night. Jai played a small part as a body guard.

Forward: Class of 77 is a story about the process of change, of growing up and making the best of what we are confronted with in life. Sure, it’s a comedy, it’s a love story, it’s a musical but essentially it’s about not regretting the past, our youth, and making the most of the present. Live in the moment and plan for the future

Dan was sitting on a bench enjoying the sun this afternoon. He had some interesting tattoos on both shoulders and his beard and hair looked like burnished copper. He was waiting for his girlfriend to arrive, and was happy to help me with my project.

He gazed into the distance and didn't need any direction from me other than to turn his head slightly when the lighting became a bit harsh when his face was turned towards me. I like the way that the sun has acted like a hairlight. I converted the shot to B&W too, but prefer the colour version I've posted here.

Dan is originally from Kent. His girlfriend plays guitar and sings ; he had a tea chest bass he has started to play recently ready for his girlfriend's arrival. I left him to enjoy the sun and went on my way.

Thank you for being my 77th stranger, Dan .

YEAY! Day 100!

Also, Yeay! Finished shifting major elements of the living room around. Now just trying to figure out what to do about papasan chair and table by the door. Anything left to change is still really easy :-)

Happy dance! :-D

Facial recognition no longer works… {April 5, 2020 // 77}

April 4, 2008

Yes, wearing a cloth covering now means that my phone no longer recognizes me, I wonder if the world does?

On days like this I want to run, walk and bike all in one stride, but I need to be careful as my right leg is not as strong as my left leg. In fact, I often find my left leg is carrying the right leg on most days.

Back story: Over 2 years ago, I hurt my right leg in what was called an over use injury. I find I have become sensitive to my leg as I don’t want to have a rein-jury because it took quite some time to heal. Thus I try to not overdue it even if mentally my mind wants to keep riding. The one positive thing it has done is make me stop and take in my surroundings to give my leg a break between strides.

PS I live in the yellow building in the backdrop. In NYC Lindsey Disney could seen into my place. In MKE Adina can. Too funny how that happened.
