quick photo of the day. had to memorize lots of kanji for the japanese final the next day and these were some of them. the kanji for the four seasons, spring, summer, fall, winter; haru, natsu, aki, fuyu. pretty basic, but my favorite japanese words are those related to seasons and weather and nature :D their sounds are especially euphonious imo
As we head along a 4 track section Hunslet built Corus 74 with its molton metal carrying Torpedo wagon comes into view and passes us by, as we trundle along onboard Hunslet Engine Company built No 58, during our morning session of our driving experience day around the vast British Steel Scuntorpe works with the Appleby Frodingham Railway Preservation Society.
Priced at £550 for 2 people on an 8 hour day, driving a single locomotive in the morning and a second locomotive with a train of 4 brake vans in the afternoon.
Within the operating constraints at that moment in time you can go to where ever you want within the site, i can certainly recomend this highly enjoyable day out.

Today was warmer then usually so i decided to wear shorts!!
I went and tried to learn how to skateboard.
but it was a fail.

74mm to 58mm 56mm chainring adapter made out of a computer hard drive. The hard drive platter is 2mm thick the spacers are 4mm thick the chainring is a sugino with dual 58mm 56mm bolt holes. A first I tried to use a 1.2mm thick stainless pizza cutter it bent while I was filing the central hole. You need to use washers on the chainring nuts or the notches will dig into the aluminum.
