Perseus with the head of Medusa is a common subject for sculpture. Benvenuto Cellini 1500 – 1571 was an Italian goldsmith, sculptor, painter, soldier and musician, who also wrote a famous autobiography. Benvenuto Cellini was born in Florence, Italy. Besides his works in gold and silver, Cellini executed sculptures of grander scale. The most distinguished of these is the bronze group of Perseus with the Head of Medusa a work now in the Loggia dei Lanzi at Florence, his attempt to surpass Michelangelo's David and Donatello's Judith and Holofernes. The casting of this work caused Cellini much trouble and anxiety, but it was hailed as a masterpiece as soon as it was completed.

Vooral bekend is zijn optreden tegen de Gorgo Medusa. Benvenuto Cellini 1500 - 1571 was een 16e-eeuws Italiaans kunstenaar. Hij was beeldhouwer, edelsmid, schrijver en musicus. Tot zijn bekendste werken behoren het bronzen beeldhouwwerk Perseus met het hoofd van Medusa, dat te bekijken is in de Loggia dei Lanzi, een beroemde beeldengalerij op het Piazza della Signoria in Florence. De creatie van dit werk veroorzaakte Cellini veel moeite en angst, maar toen het eenmaal af was werd geprezen als een meesterwerk.

When it's 25 degrees F outside (colder in the shade), there's no such thing as a "light breeze".
So just off camera is a light stand. Since this was natural light, it was a COAT stand. When ready, off went the overcoat for 4 or 5 frames and then on it went again until she was warm enough for the next set of frames.
Uncomfortable subjects look uncomfortable on camera... always.
What? Don't look at me! SHE wanted to shoot a day earlier when it was even colder and windier!
