Wainui Falls is a very pretty approx. 20-meter waterfall in Wainui Bay, in the Tasman region of New Zealand. The waterfall is part of the Wainui River and cascades over granite bedrock into a deep pool at its base. The spray at the base of the waterfall created all sorts of patterns and spray (and I think made a more interesting image than the full waterfall).
WC train 34 is crossing 6 mile road near the top of the climb out of Soo yard a couple miles railroad east(geographically north) of Dafter. Engineer Gary Drow has made short work of the hill with 711, 6543 and 6504 having only 3200 tons trailing them on a nice September 16, 1989 evening. In fairness I removed a couple powerlines that ran above the two big SD's. The three ex SOO GP30's that received full WC paint were my favorites to shoot on a WC roster full of really neat stuff.

143 591-6 zieht ihre S9 am Stellwerk "KO" vorbei aus dem Bahnhof Kämmereiforst. Der Bahnhof liegt weit ab vom Schuss und atmet noch den Geist einer lange vergessenen Zeit. DR Aschenbecher an der Wand und ein Geruch als würde gleich eine Dampflok vorbeifahren im Wartesaal muss man erlebt und gesehen haben um im Kreise der S9 Fanatiker mitreden zu können.
