Roma-Day 2-Vatican & Sant'Angelo Bridge

Our tour of the vatican was wonderfully descriptive, the male tour guide was a mind of information and very interesting (he also had an Italian accent which I was thrilled about) We did the Raphael Rooms and Modern Galleries is this tour, something that was not included in last years tour which made it seem a lot longer, which I guess it was in reality. The Raphael rooms were well worth the aching back and feet but I was not impressed with the modern section, it's just not my thing, so the last part of the tour was spent wishing for a chair! Sant'Angelo castle and bridge were awesome, so glad I managed to walk upon the bridge this time around.

Would you mind sharing a table?

How stylish is this? One of the Triumph stable - this the Vitesse 6 model with the convertable roof no less and still looking very smart despite my mental connotations of this model really being a few miles south of here and with the late great Thora Hird dumped in the passenger seat!

By the time this car was constructed Triumphs, a company that had been merged with Standard Motors in 1944 having been formed in Coventry as a pedal bike company in 1885, was part of Leyland Motors - indeed possibly just about the time they merged with BMC in 1968 to form British Leyland. The Vitesse, launched in 1962, was based on the successful Herald model introduced in 1959 and both were styled by Giovanni Michelotti. This was seen parked up in Otley, West Yorkshire, on a fine September day and is obviously much loved and well cared for.

The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich spacecraft lifts off from Space Launch Complex 4 at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, Nov. 21, 2020, at 9:17 a.m. PST (12:17 p.m. EST).

The Sentinel-6/Jason-CS (Continuity of Service) mission consists of the Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich satellite, which will be followed by its twin, the Sentinel-6B satellite, in 2025. The Sentinel-6/Jason-CS mission is part of Copernicus, the European Union's Earth observation program, managed by the European Commission. Continuing the legacy of the Jason series missions, Sentinel-6/Jason-CS will extend the records of sea level into their fourth decade, collecting accurate measurements of sea surface height for more than 90% of the world's seas, and providing crucial information for operational oceanography, marine meteorology, and climate studies. NASA's Launch Services Program at Kennedy Space Center was responsible for launch management.

One last shot of me, seated, during my session at My Changing Room on 6-6-16

Hey everyone!

So, this is a Red Riding Hood Hunter series that I completed for a final project from school. I realized I hadn't posted it on flickr yet, but here it is now! We were asked to pick a theme and do a "photo story" with a total of 12 images. Obviously, I chose Little Red Riding Hood except with a little bit of a twist where she isn't the hunted, she is the hunter.

I was going to write a little description about what was happening in each photo but I've decided to see what you guys think. I worked really hard to make this a story. I story boarded it all out, and made sure everything that needed to be was consistent. All of the photos are in order (numbered so you can tell) and each photo propels the story forward.

Let me know what you think is happening in each photo! and let me now if I did a successful job at creating a story through these still images.

The sixth Lockheed Martin-built Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF-6) satellite is on track to launch in 2020 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. In our first launch with the U.S. Space Force, AEHF-6 will take off aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V 551 rocket. The AEHF satellite family delivers always-on protected communications for warfighters on the ground, sea and air.

Tonight I find myself in a most unusual situation...almost wireless...hundreds of miles from home for the next 6 days...have my mac with me to process images...but no portable hard drive to switch them over to this rinky dink old pc which serves as my only source to the internet!...so it would seem that for the moment I can only comment and not submit! I found this image on my photostream from a while back...obviously one which I had decided not to go with...how handy it is now...a bit like the humble button from my last post! PS this pc is so rinky dink the only punctuation that works on it is the full stop...I think you call this a period in the US!...oh yes...the exclaimation mark works too!

i love everything about election day...except the waiting.

Toronto got some beautiful snow last week. I love the beauty of winter but I'll never get used to being perpetually cold and tired in these dark months.

Regretting the fact that I didn't get out and shoot today. Buddy loves the snow, but this will have to work until tomorrow.
