Hut 6 was a wartime section of the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS) at Bletchley Park, Buckinghamshire, Britain, tasked with the solution of German Army and Air Force Enigma machine cyphers. Hut 8, by contrast, attacked Naval Enigma. Hut 6 was established at the initiative of Gordon Welchman, and was run initially by Welchman and fellow Cambridge mathematician John Jeffreys.
Welchman's deputy, Stuart Milner-Barry, succeeded Welchman as head of Hut 6 in September 1943, at which point over 450 people were working in the section.
Hut 6 was partnered with Hut 3, which handled the translation and intelligence analysis of the raw decrypts provided by Hut 6.
Bletchley Park was the central site for British (and subsequently, Allied) codebreakers during World War II. It housed the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS), which regularly penetrated the secret communications of the Axis Powers – most importantly the German Enigma and Lorenz ciphers. According to the official historian of British Intelligence, the "Ultra" intelligence produced at Bletchley shortened the war by two to four years, and that without it the outcome of the war would have been uncertain.
Located in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Bletchley Park is open to the public, and receives hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

Taken in the "auxiliary studio" - a 6' wide space behind the leather sofa that gives a fairly pleasing backdrop - using the selfie ring as the light source.
As I spent most of my time working with Riley, by the time I got to Toby my hip and I were tired.
(Note to self - try working with only one dog each day for shooting, and "fake it" for the other - e.g. treats for tricks... yes, they know when it's a photo shoot and they demand their time. No, they don't know if I actually take pictures or not.)
Anyway, I put Toby in a down, plunked the hat on his head, pulled up the light ring, and snapped a couple close-ups.
I think this is my favorite shot with the ring/iPhone so far!

First time I've shot a sporting event that wasn't motor racing. It's much more tricky than it looks and I got plenty of exercise lugging my camera with the Sigma 150-500(AKA ICBM lens) up and down the pitch. Conditions were pretty rubbish, dark grey skies and sleet. So eventually I swapped to the 135mm for faster shutter speeds and to give my back a rest!
EDIT: Just realised I didn't actually say what the sport was! It was Brighton Blues Vs Deal & Betteshanger in the London and SE second division rugby.

This is part of the flock coming in to land in the lake. Yesterdays photo was of a few about to land.
Week 6 is Alley and there aren't many proper alleys here in Bedford I have to admit. However, I remembered there's one or two near Castle Road and found this.
It's a bit of a snap to be honest, or at least I feel it is, I've deliberately tried to accentuate the walls narrowing toward the lamp post and beyond and the fact it's a wet day adds some atmosphere with wet surfaces, reflections and threatening cloud from above. Perfect for some monochrome shooting!
