October photo a day and at last a proper opp to get my Sony out. Got a bit behind uploading too for the October photo a day challenge but on top of it again!
Peony on a rainy day. About a one second exposure with a breeze so not bad on focus for a change. I think I figured out finally I cannot shoot wide open and get distant objects selectively focused...but this could work for a close up portrait of which I have a few planned. These are shot on an 8x10 camera with barrel lens which means no shutter...just lens cap on and off. I kind of prefer to keep using this lens because it does have a somewhat unique look but a shutter would help me shoot at different times of day.

The distinctive toll gantries are lit blue and stand out amongst all the other lights.

When God designed the plan for our lives, it wasn't dependent on our being perfect. Our mistakes are not a surprise to Him.
These ducklings are now big enough that the parents took a nap at the waters edge while these little ones fed and played. They did like to stick together for the most part.
