ST44-613. My old/new locomotive - old design but new color and some new details. Lights based on the idea from Benny1980 (www.flickr.com/photos/benny80/48825778248/in/photostream/)
Agent called and wanted a handful of shots on a gloomy day and asked me to make the windows look like there was blue skies.
2 YN 560iii on the right, BOC&W
1 YN 560iii stairway on left
1 YN 560iii in far hallway about 10 feet ahead, bouncing off a wall 20 feet away at full power
Staircase in the middle is getting some spill and natural light.
2nd frame 2 with lights on left and blended.
Finished with an ambient layer. Ambient was nice here, just added enough flash to enhance color and to brighten up the dark hallway far front.
Wish there was some sun to get some natural light beaming in through the skylights and big windows.
Going back to reshoot it fully next week.
So another trip out shopping yesterday (Friday). This took in a trip to TKMAX. Haven't been in one for well over two years and now I remember why. I really hate the place, there is never anything in my size, just 8s and 10s. It's just an expensive jumble sale!! They do have some nice bags in though, so I will let them off with that.
After shopping a quick drink or two in the pub.
This is from the archives.
TO BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY!
ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE HAVING A REALLY BAD WINTER WEATHER!
We are finally having some much needed rain here in California!
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your kind comments!
They are very much appreciated!
The TM Travel name perhaps doesn't hold the greatest reputation, though it might be a stretch to interpret their decision to operate former Trent Barton Scania FJ03VWB (613) in an overall advert encouraging would-be punters to purchase a car as an act of self-flagellation. The vehicle is seen advertising Motorpoint at Owler Bar as it crosses into the Peak District - an area which really doesn't need any more car traffic - whilst operating the 12:10 Sheffield to Bakewell 218.
The 218 was relaunched with four Scanias of a similar age to 613 in route-specific livery in early 2015. The remaining examples from this quartet were withdrawn last year, and the service is now operated by just about anything with wheels. At the time of this photograph two Solars, an SR Solo, and an EL Nordic were in use, and the three different colour schemes on display say a lot about present standards of fleet presentation.
