After that eye searing dose of ugly here is a nice cool blue thing: 60 seconds over Fort Davis. Marfa lights? You never know. They may be down there somewhere....hitting L works wonders in any case.
If you're familiar with "The Hot Shoe Diaries" by Joe McNally then you're probably aware of my inspiration for this photo. That particular photo was posed by his daughter Claire and her friend Amanda.

Sitting in the kids fort, trying not to move.
This was a 60 second exposure just after twilight. It was almost black out. Long exposures are cool. I was surprised at how much the neighbor's yard light across the street affected the lighting and shadows.
This picture reminds me of Beetlejuice...I think it's the b/w striped slide.
This kind of looks xpro'd, but it's just the weird lighting. This is in a playground set in a cove of trees. In the background are street lamps. To my left, about 100 yards, is an elementary school with some pretty powerful floodlights.
I'd like to photograph this playground during the day - it has some neat angles, colors, and the potential for interesting lighting too.

Some interesting construction equipment. I wish there was less artifical light in these shots. It's hard to find a good place with interesting subjects in the 'burbs.

I just put my new Rimmel 60 Seconds 270 Shocker on top of two coats of 819 Green With Envy and the result is breath-taking. (This photo doesn't do it any justice, really.)

Just testing to see if I could retain the Exif data from a RAW file after conversion and it seems to have worked, though there appears to be less info than when shootng JPG.
Still learning here but at least I know the sequence that I need to follow now.
There is no shutter speed shown as the camera was in Bulb mode for a 60 second approx exposure.
Not the best of evenings to be out with a camera, cold and damp, but I quite like the grainy appearance the fine mist of rain created.
