The Tufa Towers emerging to the surface of the Lake in strange rock spires at the point that this place, the Mono Lake shot by night with a long exposition, doesn't seem an alien planet?
Lo scoiattolo non va in letargo durante l'inverno. Si limita ad alternare periodi di sonno prolungato con periodi di modesta attività per la ricerca del cibo. Uno scoiattolo può vivere fino a 4-5 anni.

One of the prettiest mountain drives awaits you if you travel the SR479 to Sulmona, panoramic scenes and small untouristed villages wait patiently to be discovered by those willing to brave the roads to see them, depicted here is one my favorites along the way Scanno. Scanno is known as the village of photographers with the likes of Hilde Lotz-Bauer, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Mario Giacomelli, Renzo Tortelli, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Ferdinando Scianna, Mario Cresci all having taken famous shots here. While my shots may not be famous I famously enjoyed taking them and would highly recommend a stop here as well as in neighboring Villalago if you still have any storage space after Scanno.

One of last year's lesser flamingo photos. What a photogenic bird!

My attempt at the "Macro Mondays" theme "Necklace".
Just had to start one last try with this tiny inconspicuous lens which creates such a wonderful smooth rendering in my eyes..
Why, Agfa? Why wouldn't you build this lens in series? Or if you did, what is it called, and where was it used?
Listening to "Videotape" by Radiohead while shooting this… hence the title:
They never recorded this live version, which is completely different from the studio version. What a pity… while both are great in their own way (and connected through a hidden syncopated rhythm - there‘s a video on that detail…) this one would certainly be worthy of being recorded as well!

When I'm at the pearly gates
This'll be on my videotape, my videotape
Mephistopheles is just beneath
And he's reaching up to grab me
This is one for the good days
And I have it all here
In red, blue, green
Red, blue, green
You are my centre
When I spin away
Out of control on videotape
On videotape
On videotape
On videotape
On videotape
This is my way of saying goodbye
'Cause I can't do it face to face
I'm talking to you before
No matter what happens now
You shouldn't be afraid
Because I know today has been
The most perfect day I've ever seen
(Seems like someone has enjoyed reading "Faust" by Goethe 😅)

The female, as seen here, lacks the bright colours of the male. The bird is a common resident breeder in southern India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and is found in a variety of habitats with trees, including gardens where they forage for nectar. In the monsoons it is a joy to watch them dew-bathing (bathing in rain collected on large leaves).

Very unusual looking female Mallard?
As you can see Boris, it's Mallard looking?
And the purple flashes on the side are also consistent!
But it's colouring is very unusual?
I know it's not a good photo, but it shows the overall shape and markings well!
