A broken rail at Ulceby had forced this train to run via the Light Railway through Grimsby and was the final train out of Humberside for the rest of the afternoon....a real shame with this lighting on offer! 30/10/13.
El Citroën Dyane es un automóvil del segmento A producido por el fabricante francés Citroën desde 1967 hasta 1983. Fue diseñado por Flaminio Bertoni y presentado en el Salón del Automóvil de París de ese mismo año 1967. El Dyane era fabricado con carrocería hatchback y furgoneta, la furgoneta fue denominada Citroën Acadiane. Al igual que el popular Citroën 2CV, la carrocería del Dyane también tenía capota enrollable. Habitualmente se suele considerar el sustituto fallido del Citroën 2CV, sin embargo sería más correcto considerarlo un complemento a la gama de la Serie A.
Fue desarrollado por Panhard en tiempos de la compra de ésta por parte de Citroën, capitaneados por el equipo de Louis Bionier. Citroën, en aquella época centrada en el desarrollo del "Projet G" (que se convertiría en el GS), decide que sea el equipo de Panhard el encargado de la actualización del 2CV. El proyecto tiene unas premisas claras, entre las que se encuentra la utilización de las líneas de montaje de Levallois donde se fabricaba el 2CV, con lo que la anchura no podía ser modificada.
El modelo se presenta en 1967 con un motor de 425 cc, motor que pronto evolucionaría a 435 cc. Curiosamente adquiere la arquitectura de los 2CV anteriores a 1966, es decir, sólo con 4 ventanas laterales.
En 1968 se presenta un nuevo motor de 602 cc, procedente del Citroën Ami, bajo la denominación D6. Esta efímera denominación pasaría a "Dyane 6" en breve.
En este mismo año se inicia la producción en España y en Irán. En el país persa recibe la denominación "Jyane" y daría lugar a interesantes derivados (algunos de los cuales sin homólogos europeos) como el comercial 602.
En 1969 el Dyane recibió la tercera luna de custodia. Entre 1967 y 1983 se fabricaron 1.400.000 unidades de este modelo.

Bercot eut un problème d'organisation. À l'époque, le styliste Flaminio Bertoni venait de décéder et Robert Opron fut nommé comme successeur pour dessiner les carrosseries. De plus, comme le bureau d'études était déjà occupé à divers tâches telles que le restylage de la DS et de l'Ami 6, Bercot décida de sous-traiter le dessin au bureau d'études de Panhard et Levassor. Cette société venait d'être acquise par Citroën.
Chez Panhard, c'est Louis Bioner qui est chargé du dessin. Celui-ci comporte de nombreux éléments de styling en « V » ou trapézoïdaux présents sur les montants de pare-brise ou les premiers volants. Quand Bionier montra ses premiers croquis à la direction de Citroën, elle ne fut pas satisfaite. L'avant était trop lourd et ressemblait trop à l'Ami 6. L'arrière n'enthousiasma pas non plus.

The fifth week of camp just ended and we cannot believe we are half way through the summer! This week our campers participated in WGDC's most anticipated event, WATER WORLD! Because of inclement weather we had to push it back a week but the long wait only made for a great experience! WGDC's Middle Camp and Willows put on a great show during our "Puttin on the hits" event. Get some rest this weekend because week 6 is going to be just as great as week 5!

Day 6 of 365! Work is finally done and now it's time to play with the camera! So I figured I'd jump into the studio and practice with some lights as it's not my strongest skill, could have done with more back light to seperate from the background, live and learn.

Habitat: Mountain pasture, moderately southeast inclined; calcareous ground, dry and sunny place, exposed to direct rain, average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 7-9 deg C, elevation 620 m (2.050 feet), alpine phytogeographical region.

Comment: Parnassius apollo is one of the largest and most beautiful butterflies in Europe. Linne himself has named it after the god of light, art and beauty Apollo. No wander it has been extensively collected and traded by butterfly collectors and 'lovers'. This is considered as the most important reason that the species is in sharp decline. This Alpine meadows and warm mountain slopes dweller is protected by law in most European countries, in Slovenia it is one of the first protected species at all (in 1920).
The butterfly is using its bright red spots to frighten potential enemies. Normally the spots are not visible from above when it sits on ground or flowers. But when disturbed, it abruptly stretches its forewing so that bright red 'dangerously looking eyes' on hind wings appear (compare pictures 5 and 6). Another amazing feature of this butterfly is called sphragus. This is a structure that is attached to the female's abdomen by the male during mating, which physically prevents the female mating a second time. Parnassius apollo caterpillars feed exclusively on stonecrop (Sedum sp./mostly Sedum album in Trenta valley) and houseleek (Sempervivum sp.).
Parnassius apollo is classified as Vulnerable (VU) on the IUCN Red List, and listed on Appendix II of Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species(CITES). In Slovenia it is enlisted in the Slovene Red List of rare and endangered species, marked by "V" representing a vulnerable species.
