Sunrise on Bohol Island in the southern Philippines.
These three were taken from the same hill as the shot I previously uploaded of the chocolate hills, but these are the next morning.
The sky was fairly cloudless and the sunrise really didnt look like it was going to be anything dramatic.
These three shots were taken at 5:39am, 6:06am & 6:16am way too early for my liking.
The main one here just has a light curves adjustment and some sharpening, the rest is mother nature :)
After a week of many tries of unsuccessful shadows, I finally decided to show an old picture of mine. Personally, I like this picture a lot although I had never uploaded it here. It is inspired by the work of the Spanish photographer Chema Madoz, who stands out for his surreal works in black and white and for his skilful games of imagination, in which perspectives and textures weave his images.

Episode 2/6

Week 6: reflection, abstract
I had more difficulty getting this idea from my brain through photoshop than I thought would be the case. It isn't exactly as I had envisioned it when I started out but I do like the final results of where toying in photoshop landed me. It was cool to create.

I make myself laugh when I think of this one. These 6 trees have caught my attention for days. And I was thinking, "no Gary...enough of the trees already." But, I see these trees just as I see people. They are really all very different, but really, ....just the same. And to my 'new' photography and friends, its very early...but, I see this as you out there with me....I look forward to seeing what life you have captured.
I decided to look for reflection in a water drop.
I had a lot of trouble taking this shot (wobbly desk & shaky hands)

The town of Wünsdorf was once the largest military base in Europe. The town was the headquarters of the Soviet forces in communist East Germany and had a population of 60,000 people, 50,000 of whom where soldiers. When the Soviet army left in 1994 the population dropped to just 6,000.
The town’s history as a military base dates back to before World War one. It was the headquarters of the High Command of the Germany army during World War II, and was a garrison town long before the Soviets moved in.
Wunsdorf was a closed town during the time it was occupied by the Soviet forces, and effectively became a Soviet town in the heart of Germany. A daily delivery via a direct rail link from Moscow allowed the town to isolate itself from the surrounding areas, having its own shops, theatre, leisure facilities and hospital.
The Haus Der Offiziere had it's own leisure facilities such as a theatre and swimming pool. A giant statue of Lenin stands tall in front of the central building.
