Just blocks from P.S. 1 is 5 Pointz, the Institute of Higher Burnin'. Not a museum or gallery, 5 Pointz is a living collage of graffiti art covering a converted warehouse full of artist studios. The art of famous and novice graffiti artists covers the building's facade, all done with the encouragement of the building's owner. It's a well-known sight from the elevated 7 subway, which runs behind 5 Pointz.

On winter afternoons,
That oppresses, like the weight
Of cathedral tunes ..."

gingerspicy: Elderly Crackhead Hookers would make a great band name.... for grandmas looking to reinvent themselves at the nursing home.

I am amazed by these flowers, every year they emerge from the soil when all other flowers are long gone …

Okay... so what I did was to re-process the image yet a 5th time! When I re-examined the image in detail, I noted where, though it appeared good to the eye at the level you're probably viewing this image (the default size setting on Flickr), I enlarged it even further, and observed numerous problems.
Note also the differences (best seen at ORIGINAL size) in the mannikin in the rear, the lip line (where upper & lower lip meet) on the near mannikin, texture and brim of the felt hat and it's band, chandelier beads, stained glass window in rear, and necklace about the near mannikin's neck. Also, observe the lamp in the upper LEFT corner on the lower interior edge where the shade is torn, as well as the lamp body. Examine as well, the large blue necklace on the stand in the lower center of the image.
FYI, to see ALL SIZES of an image, simply type "sizes" (without quotation marks) AFTER the photo's numerical ID in the URL, like this:

The wording is in all caps, though capitalization makes no difference.
By clicking on the link above, you'll see the options for the various sizes of images... just as some of you have been accustomed to accessing.

I didn't get his name, we chatted awhile in 5 Points a few weeks ago. He let me shoot a few pictures and I bought him lunch, win win!
