After a run from Dempster-Skokie, CTA Yellow Line run 596 exits Howard station in preparation to turn back and head west to Skokie again. Due to the risk of ice and sleet accumulating on the third rail, (and the need to accommodate anti-icing fluid equipment) Skokie Swift services were running with four cars rather than the usual two.

That baby Yashica 127 film format was being neglected for a long time. 127 film format is tough to find and expensive if you ever find it. The camera itself had a problem with the lenses plate becoming loose and created a tilt focus problems.
Finally I got it fixed and in braved myself to slice and roll my 127 film from a 120 film. You can see the results already.
Operating as CN 596, NS power (NS 9419, NS 4028 & NS 9521) is bringing CN X148 into the Port of Montreal after the train spent most of the day parked on CN's Montreal Sub. Behind the train is the massive but out of use grain elevator #5.
Hace un tiempo vi una foto de Ramiro del nuevo usuario de la línea de Canfranc y me dije que algún día tenía que ir a pillarlo.
Pues bien ayer que tenía fiesta, pensé que sería un buen día, pero el clima no me acompaño. Aunque no hay mal que por bien no venga, lo bueno de estos días nublados es que puedes hacer fotos desde cualquier angulo ya que la luz es muy semejante y puedes aprovechar encuadres que con sol serian un contraluz con mayúsculas.
En fin 596.006 haciendo los últimos kilómetros del servicio pasando delante de la Iglesia Parroquial del Salvador de Villanueva de Gallego.
