El puente de los múltiples nombres.
Llama bastante la atención cuando se llega a Galicia la variedad de topónimos existente. La principal característica gallega es el mosaico creado de topónimos, que incluyen unos a otros y que crean una diversidad apabullante.
El principal inconveniente es el caos que a veces se forma y éste es un caso. Lo conocí como el puente sobre el rego das Maceiras hace más de 6 años y desde entonces se han sucedido los nombres: puente de Saxamonde (lugar donde se ubica), de Negros (parroquia donde se ubica) o de Valos (rampa en la que se ubica).
Por si alguien se despista como ya ha ocurrido este puente es el segundo de tres puentes ferroviarios sobre este río de sólo 5 km, que tributa en el Alvedosa antes de llegar al mar. El primero construido en 1878 para MZOV (llamado viaducto de Madrid), el segundo inaugurado para Renfe en 1971 (variante y proyecto de estación de Redondela) presente en la foto y el tercero inaugurado en 2015 para Adif con el mismo nombre que el anterior.
Para finalizar, en la foto un 596 atraviesa el puente de 170 metros "comesto" por la maleza en un servicio Vigo - Valença do Minho.

The 195 operates a Pocklington to York via the villages round trip on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and a Newton to Pocklington and then Pocklington to York via Newton working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There is also a Newton to York journey on Tuesday afternoons which is largely pointless beyond positioning the vehicle to operate the return leg of the Tuesdays-only 196 which runs between Aughton and York and serves several of the villages on the 195 route. Allethorpe and Thornton were added to the 195 in April 2014 when the two round trips on the 199 which operated between Pocklington and Thornton on Tuedays, Wednesdays, and Fridays were withdrawn. The majority of village buses in the Pocklington area have been threatened with withdrawal in April 2017 as ERYC attempts to reduce its spend on public transport.
Pocklington depot are currently allocated two Presidents, down from seven two years ago, the latest reductions coming as a result of lost Woldgate College contracts. 596 isn't one of the allocated number and is probably at the depot as cover for one of Geminis 697 and 701 which are both presently in Hull. It was one of twenty-two Presidents purchased from Go Ahead London by EYMS in 2012. Four of these, including 596, initially operated for Finglands, before moving to Hull when that operation ceased in 2014.
World of Top Gear at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, is a unique exhibition of vehicles from every era of the hit television show. The TGV12 was motoring journalist Jeremy Clarkson’s car-based train that was featured in Series 17. It was made from a Jaguar XJS.
‘XJ12 596’ is the actual TGV12 ‘sports train’ driven by Clarkson during Top Gear’s valiant attempt to reduce the cost of railway travel using innovative car-based rolling stock. The ‘locomotive’ is little more than an old Jaguar convertible with some different wheels on it.

- Durant uns mesos de l'any 2009 un parell de "tamagochis" van estar fent els serveis de la linia de La Pobla. Aquest tipus de trens son força adequats per les característiques d'aquesta línia. Uns mesos més tard van ser substituïts per 592.2

- On 2009 a pair of "tamagochis" (Class 596) were making the service Lleida-La Pobla. This is very appropriate for this kind of services. Two months later they were substituted by DMUs class 592.2

Al fin se ha acabado el periodo de exámenes para mi, de momento, en mayo volvemos a la carga. Y ahora justo que he acabado y tengo algo de tiempo para dedicárselo al mundo ferroviario, va... y entra una ciclogénesis por Galicia... A ver si se repone un poquito el tiempo y puedo hacer alguna escapada.
En pantalla veis al 596-014, o mejor dicho la dama de las camelias... (en honor al nombre que le pusieron a la ruta que realiza como tren turístico) tomando rumbo hacia tierras portuguesas, con un miniservicio Vigo-Valença, de enlace al Regional Valença-Oporto.

Fotografía extraída de un álbum familiar donde se puede observar un tamagochi, junto a la marquesina que antiguamente estaba cubierta. Menos mal, que poco a poco queda menos para devolver a esta estación su esplendor de antaño.
