Tessa was chosen to represent Orijen on their new website. It's one of the more expensive kibbles on the market, but having only one dog, it's doable for me, and she does very well on it. And while I find it hard these days to trust any brand (of any product), for now I have faith in Orijen and their "absolutely-no-outsourcing" policy. When they had a kitchen malfunction last September, their production dropped to 40% and they chose to go with that and risk losing customers (we had to feed EVO for a while), rather than turning production over to an outside plant.
Tessa will receive a free bag of food of her choice - she chose the 6-Fish - and a bag of their new freeze-dried treats.
Our little girl turned 4 today.
She was born 7 week premature, and was tiny. It took 5 days before we could hold her, and 23 days before we could take her home. Now, she still likes her space, but gives the best cuddles.
She really is an amazing soul.
Happy Birthday, yoghurt-head !!
Un poco más normal aqui - es la original !! ;)
A bit more normal on this one - it's the original !! ;)
We've had family here since Saturday and it's been wonderful!!! They're leaving tomorrow evening. We're looking forward to visiting them (and the new baby boy) in April.... out in Tennessee.
Happy New Year everybody!
Benni is 4 years old today and I couldn't have wished for a better buddy. People say she's the happiest dog they've ever seen and she shares that joy with us every day. Some serious spoiling is going on today!

So far, at 4 years old, Tessa has been kind of indifferent to ducks and have not invested much time in the duck work, but today, she finally clicked with the ducks. She surprised one (or rather, was surprised by one) near the shore, and when it took off across the pond, Tessa gave chase - water chase. After that, she paid very close attention to any ducks on the water and in the air (ant there were many flying by, transferring from on pond to the next). It was great to see that spark in her - will see if we can build on that next time and then do some duck work next spring.

Unfortunately, she eats it too, so I had to constantly intervene for fear of it clogging her system. Raw cotton and paper towels, that's her thing.
As he woke up this morning, Ouzo got his first present - SNOW!
It snowed on his 2nd birthday as well, so maybe every two years we should expect snow on October 21st. He was very pleased with the weather present.
He doesn't know that if the weather would have been nice, I was planning on taking a day off and going with him to a park and spending a few hours with him. Oh, well, we'll have to do that another time :)

Most of my friends hate the tomato juice,
but...I don't!
Look! It's nooo problem for me!
Well...I wanna be a big boy :D!
But I lost myself when I lost you
And I still got jazz when I've got those blues
And I lost myself when I lost you
And I still get trashed darling when I hear your tunes
This adorable little boy lived next door with foster family one summer. Later that autumn he and his 3 brothers were returned to their mother alcoholic, living in social home, with no amenities. Yesterday I heard boys are in other foster family at the time being... again... because their mum was not able to reform herself... I rememeber how smart and quick he was, how vigorous and full of vim... how he used to speak about his brothers - with such an ardour and love. I hope they all are together now. My heart is breaking thinking of him...
