"June" was sitting in my new prop [see basket below] so i quickly put this holiday collar on her and was able to fire off a few pics before she decided she had enough. The photo below was taken earlier in the day when she was waking up from a nap in this basket.

Have a very relaxing weekend.

I usually setup 2 lights with shoot through umbrellas for our tight little interior shooting area. The lights are triggered with radios, specifically Pocket Wizards. But, let's say you occasionally run into a problem with one, or more, and they don't work, usually a fluke though. Pocket Wizard's are top of the line radio triggers, but even they can fail from time to time. In the above photo the main light on the left didn't fire. Usually, the image would be a "throw away." But, in this case, I kinda' liked the the result and decided to do the edit. It is proof that even one off camera light could yield some interesting results.

She loves all the hustle and bustle of Christmas. Here she is playing in the garland. My other two other cats sleep the day away...but not June. She's always in overdrive.

[scroll to see next pix].

This is my youngest of three cats and most willing to pose for the camera. I caught JUNE sitting still which is rare for this busy four year old. I hope you all had a purrr...fect holiday.

My cat *June* is the youngest of the three felines we share our home with. She will be turning *4* soon. She loves to play and goes crazy for catnip~you can see the effects in this photo!!

My little granddaughter has many expressions and this one is one she uses a lot. I am not experienced in taking portraits so I was happy to practice over the weekend. I don't do images where the children are made to sit in front of a good background, I like to catch them when they are not looking. I do find getting the background right the worst challenge! Charlotte's eyes are incredible so I took this into LR and enhanced them ever so slightly to take out some shadowing. I finally bought myself an all rounder lens yesterday too. This is shot with a borrowed one from the camera store, I am happy with my purchase. It is a Canon RF24-105mm L IS USM. So I now have three brilliant lenses to go with my Canon R5. I am happy!!

After posting somber pics the last two days, I decided post something cheerful. I hope these pics of June puts a smile on your face.

June hopes all the kitty cats out in flickr land has a purrr...fect weekend!

Most likely just one molt shy of adult plumage at 4-5 years.

Got home Friday morning, and back on the road this afternoon, Sunday. Didn't make it far, 200 miles and I-80 closed at Rock Springs Wyoming due to winter storm.

Was watching the Voice and decided I need to post something while I have a few hours of down time before going to bed. So a little multitasking tonight.

About this picture, my daughter and grandkids picked me up at my mom's house (my mom was off getting her hair cut). I was tired, my delivery in Salt Lake was at 5AM, but when you know you only have a limited amount of time, you suck it up.

The original plan was to go to Lagoon Amusement Park, but it turns out Lagoon doesn't open until 5PM on Friday's, or at least that's how it is in October. Anyway, we have season passes, and had only planned to stay for a couple of hours before going home getting my mom and going to dinner. Luckily there was this neighborhood park nearby and fortunately kids know how to have fun just about anywhere.

It was so worth it, I got some amazing shots of the kids playing on the playground equipment.

This is probably my favorite shot, I just love the uninhibited expression. The kids had me laughing my ass off, they're so crazy.

Anyway, enough of me, time to post and do a little visiting. Hope you are all safe and staying active with your photography.

As you will see below, this is Keiko's bed. Keiko is in this bed 24/7. Imagine my surprise the other day when i walked past and saw June in there! Keiko was NOT pleased to say the least. My house has cat beds/condo's in every room...but sometimes they want what the other cat has!

Wishing ya'll a great week ahead, of wonderful, and smiling moments too ....

This is my four year old kitty *June*. She is one feisty cat and loves to chase my two senior cats around the house. She thinks they need the exercise. She wants to play ....but they don't. She was rescued from a feed store....and was suppose to be a playmate for my middle cat "Keiko". But Keiko wants nothing to do with her. *sigh*

My nephew's almost 4-year-old daughter, Ella, and her kite.

We took the twins to the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday. Had a great time. It's almost impossible to get a good picture of BOTH of them at the same time - - I just thought this was cute!!

We had a couple of hours to spare before going to the airport so we went to Signal Hill in the city of St. John's. This is a famous tourist spot with gorgeous views of the harbour and surrounding area. Here we met a beautiful Newfoundland dog named "Chief". The single most important characteristic of this breed is their sweet temperament. His owner has been bringing him here since he was a puppy so he was very used to people. He just sat quietly as many people came to pet him. He is 4 years old and weighs 150 lbs. Taken in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.

*June* is the youngest of my three cats. She is four and still acts like a kitten.

It has been raining non-stop, so no outdoor photography for me and June is bored.

Here she is trying out my new bed spread.

You know me, I had to add RED [it is a REAL fake flower....NOT one inserted by photoshop].
