Brand new for 2023 is the Matchbox 2018 Toyota 4Runner, a rather ugly looking SUV though is I believe rather popular in the States and probably explains why they have included one in their range. A decent stock looking affair with front and rear detailing.

The second generation of the Toyota 4Runner was built from 1989 until 1995. It's a SUV model based on the Hilux. This was the only generation that was sold by Toyota in Europe. It has a 3.0 litre V6 engine.

Brand new Matchbox 2018 Toyota 4Runner which has been clearly put on a metal diet/designed to fit in standard packaging. The real vehicle is quite large but you certainly don't get that impression here!

Seemingly Poundland have realised their mistake at pricing their stocks of Matchbox at the ridiculously low price of 50p but not before I managed to grab a whole basket full! They are now back to 1.50 which is still very good value with batches 2021 E, and 2023 B and D being spotted.

50p gets me this very likeable 2018 Toyota 4Runner which is brand new for this year and already has a new recolour appearing imminently.

1984 Toyota 4RUNNER

Here's shot I took when I was out Wheelin' with my friend and fellow photographer, Darren "PoppaD" Stevenson. We were up off Pima and Dynamite following the powerlines and I parked at the top of this hill to take some pics.

I used Darren's Nikon D700 and SB-800/900 speedlights. Two SB-900s were on one stand, camera left, behind the truck. A single SB-800 was camera right to fillt he front end, and there was another on the ground to fill the front tire/suspension. Speedlights triggered via CLS, which gave me control over all of them from the camera (I had an SB-800 on it as trigger). I carefully balanced the ambient with the strobes and edited the shot in Lightroom.
