Lotsenboot ELBE 4. Der Schiffstyp nennt sich "KRAKEN 82" und es ist aus GRP hergestellt. GRP steht für Glass-reinforced plastic, hier würde man wohl am ehesten Fiberglas dazu sagen. Es werden aber mehrere Lagen benötigt, um die erforderliche Steifigkeit des Schiffs zu erreichen. Außerdem ist das Schiff, laut Hersteller, selbstaufrichtend und unsinkbar. Der Hersteller, Bernard Shipyards, kommt im übrigen aus Frankreich. Als Geschwindigkeit werden 15 bzw. 20 Knoten angegeben. Ich denke je nach motorisierung.

Woah woah WOAH my dudes, some pretty important set photos from Avengers 4 have just leaked out and this is HUGE. As you can see by these photos, Ant-Man, Hulk, an old Tony Stark wearing a S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform, and Captain America with his Avengers 1 are up to something, but WHAT?!
Okay dudes here’s my theory, the end of Avengers: Infinity War’s going to be pretty fucking disastrous, Thanos has all the Infinity Stones and most of the heroes are killed except for a few, and one of those is ANT-MAN BABY!!! Now what I think is going on is since Ant-Man has access to the microverse and eventually the multiverse, which will apparently be shown in Ant-Man and the Wasp, Ant-Man is going to… get this… TRAVEL TO DIFFERENT UNIVERSES TO GATHER HEROES!!! He’ll get a Hulk, he’ll get an old Tony Stark who’s the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and a Captain America from some sort of timeline where he keeps the Avengers uniform! Now I believe Ant-Man’s already recruited these heroes because as you can see, they have these devices on their hands, that’s the ticket to travelling the multiverse, and Ant-Man’s has the only one implemented into his suit, therefore he is the one who has the most experience with these devices! My dudes I’m getting pretty hyped right now because if my theory checks out, then that means Ant-Man’s going to have a huge fucking presence in this movie and HE DESERVES IT!!!

Holy shit dude, I have not been so hyped for the MCU in a looooong time, we got Black Panther in a few weeks, Infinity War is close, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is this year, Captain Marvel is next, then THIS!! What a time to be alive, and I’m just so filled with joy to see Ant-Man a huge part of these films!!!!
Been trying to finish various doll related crafts that I started weeks ago. These go along with the shabby furniture I used in the Blythe cottage I posted a few weeks ago. Once painted and aged, they have some nice little details that show up.
1. Spray paint plastic Barbie furniture with many layers of cream paint (would have been better to use tan or pale gray). Let dry well (days).
2. Paint several coats of "Mineral" chalk paint by Waverly. I used "Elephant" by Waverly on the cushions.
3. Dry brush with white chalk paint.
4. Seal with clear matte spray paint. I used creme wax on the first set of furniture and that came out better, but they spray sealant was easier.
Mail-4 slithers across the Beaver River and is entering New Brighton, PA on March 31, 1992. Just a few miles ahead is Conway yard and a crew change. Power is a GP40-2 and a trio of B36-7's. Kodachrome 200 scan.

The last fifteen of the Standard 4 Class were all initially allocated to the Southern Region, many of them being fitted with a double chimney as here with 75068 making its way light engine close to Eastleigh Station. The loco would last until the very end of steam on the Southern, being withdrawn from service at the beginning of July 1967 and scrapped at the yard of Birds Risca, near Newport.
Three of this original batch have been preserved 75069/78/79 as all were sent for scrapping to Barry and eventual preservation.

The Model 4 is a select-fire, caseless assault rifle that fires a unique 8mm flechette designed to pierce most modern body armor. The Model 4 was designed and manufactured by Shinonaka Heavy Engineering Ltd.
The Model 4 has two variants: the Type A and the Mil-Spec. The Type A has a top rail for optics, as well as a large flash hider. The Type A is often sold as in the civilian market, although its capability for automatic fire is often removed.
The Mil-Spec variant has a longer and fully shrouded barrel, with an integrated RIS system. Its most notable feature is a large, heavy optic that is capable of various zoom levels (from 1.5x to 12x zoom) as well as thermal imaging and night vision options. In 2044 it was adopted by the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Forces under the designation Shinonaka Type 7, replacing the Howa Type 20.
My first attempt at this was total failure. I was trying to sync my flash off camera and I could not figure it out. I burnt through 6 incense sticks and ended up smelling like a smoking hippy with not one good shot. I gave up.
The next night I tried again armed with a few youtube tutorials and a fresh attitude. I gave up on the flash and just used a flashlight. 20 min and 150 photos later I was moderately successful. A few more videos and some fun editing and I am done. This is another technique I need to revisited to improve.
I modified my LVT-4 to be the a variant with the turret on top. I also used a modified Sherman turret for this build and I think it looks pretty good. Considering my part selection is fairly limited right now I think this turned out really nice. It still has all the features of the original lvt as well; opening rear hatch, driver and co-driver seat with controls, opening drivers hatch. Hope you enjoy.

Version # 4 With this version I managed to keep the core from being blown out and I also brought out some extra detail and color. It's always a challenge not to over or under process so I hope I did this one right. Any comments are welcome.

Merel (stranger 4).
The spotlight from an eatery in the Markthal shone right on her face. A head with red hair and some freckles, that stands out and then you have an advantage with me. Merel studies in Rotterdam and had a friend visit that day. As I walked past they were having lunch and chatting together and I was struck by the beautiful light on her head. A nice picture for the 100strangers project. They were in a dark spot of the diner and to be able to take a nice picture I had to raise the ISO value of my camera.
This is the 4th photo of my 4th round of the 100strangers project. I like doing it, that's why it's already the 4th round.

Week 4 / 52 is "outdoors" I shot this one at Rocky Point Park on Monday on one of the very few calm sunny days we've had recently. Edits in Lightroom CC Photoshop CC using Nik filters.

Police Skimmer 4 sits on its pad, ready for launch. Skimmers like these were a cheap, fast and popular method of getting manned aerial observation. Light and manoeuvrable with a high quality camera, skimmers played a vital role in situations where UAVs were either unsuitable or prohibited.

I keep setting out to build spaceships but end up making other things. Part of the fun of sci-fi Lego building and not modelling real-life objects!

Juvenile Bald Eagle - Series 4 of 4
Talons - Talons are important tools for hunting and defense. Eagles kill their prey by penetrating its flesh with their talons.
Eagles can open and close their talons at will. If an eagle is dragged into the water by a fish too large for the eagle to lift, it is because the eagle refuses to release it. In some cases this is due to hunger. An eagle might drown during the encounter with the fish or if it's unable to swim far enough to reach shore.
Beak - The hook at the tip is used for tearing. Behind the hook, the upper mandible, the edge sharp enough to slice tough skin, over laps the lower, creating a scissors effect. A bald eagle's beak is a strong weapon, but is also delicate enough to groom a mate's feathers or feed a small portion of food to a newly hatched chick.
