President Obama tours Faffa Food Factory, a USAID and Feed the Future funded factory that provides nutritionally fortified foods at low-costs to Ethiopians. Faffa produces 25,000 tons/year of supplemental foods including fortified milk powders, enriched flour additives, fortified baby flood, and fortified flours and barley mixes. Some of Faffa’s products are sold to the UN’s World Food Program for distribution to vulnerable populations and refugees along the Somali and South Sudanese border. Faffa is the primary supplier of baby food for Ethiopian children.
