Southbound Lincoln Service/Missouri River Runner (Amtrak 319) is only minutes away from St. Louis.
It's traversing upgraded track with continously welded rail and concrete ties, installed as part of the High Speed Rail project. I don't think trains will ever be asked to reach 100 mph in this area, but it's good to have the best track possible.
