Milepost 433 is the final milepost along the Plummer Line before the railroad joins the the east siding switch for the Plummer siding along the Detroit Lakes Subdivision. The Trail Turn's conductor is preparing thrown some switches after his train moves forward beyond the east siding switch before backing onto the mainline. A quick run up to Thief River Falls and yarding the gravel loads are the only things left to do before tying down, concluding another run of the weekly Trail Turn.
LA&L 433 & 425 are starting a reverse move up to the RSR Brooks Yard in Chili, NY on October 23, 2023. The train is on the RSR main, and has pulled down out of the Genesee Jct. Yard onto the RSR. Once the conductor lines the switch for the main, the train starts its long reverse move up to Brooks Yard. The scrub along the ROW has really grown up the last couple of years, but in this case provided a splash of Fall color.

LA&L 433 & 420 switch cars in the yard in Avon, NY on the evening of September 4, 2020. With the noon start time for the road train, the return trip from Genesee Junction does not usually take place until just before sunset at this time of year. It is usually dark by the time the train gets to Avon.
LA&L 433 does some switching on the Southbound train at the yard in Avon, NY on the evening of June 5, 2020. Duffy's outdoor dining area was well patronized as the 433 and 420 sorted some cars next to the station. Gave me a chance to try something a little different.

The LA&L Southbound road train switches in the yard in Avon, NY after sunset on September 4, 2020. We had met my mom at Duffy's in the old station on the left for a fish fry, and I was hoping the train might show up before it got dark. We hung out there until about 7:30pm, but no train. Trudy and I went looking for it, and it was just coming into Avon to the North. When it got to Avon it started to rain, but I took a few low light pics anyways.

After sunset, LA&L 433 & 428 head to Lakeville with 11 loads at Papermill Road in Avon, NY on March 29, 2021. They dropped 13 cars for Barilla in Avon and by the time they got done switching the Barilla Plant the sun had set. I had hoped to get them in nice evening light here, but this is cool too.
LA&L 433 & 425 shove syrup tankers down the Industrial to Kraft in Avon, NY on September 1, 2023. The siding next to the old Ag buildings has not seen a car since the 1990's IIRC. Those buildings now serve as storage for some other business. The old Ford truck belongs to a contractor that was doing some track work on the LA&L at the time. There was some MOW equipment parked on that track out of sight behind the power.
