An eastbound New York, Susquehanna & Western Sea-Land double stack container train is on one of several double track sections of track along the Delaware River at Lordville, NY. these sections were controlled by spring switches that were lined to the engineers track to the right when approaching. Going out into the single track at the other end you would "split" the switch and it would snap back into place after every set of wheels passed through. These section were several miles long and could hold a couple of trains if there were to be a meet.
